Stayed here for about 5 nights in a Signature (tower) room with access to the Signature Lounge (excellent breakfast and nice snacks/drinks during the day, plus a fresh fruit basket every day with delicious local produce like dragon fruit). Comfortable room, good sized bathroom, nice bed/linens, and good views of Saigon. In addition, the staff in the Signature lounge booked some lovely trips for us and were enormously helpful. Airport pick-up with cool face towels and drinks, definitely a plus. Nice pool, excellent location with many good restaurants and bars near-by. Note that the Signature rooms have a separate check-in upstairs, so one can avoid waiting in the lobby to register.

I stayed at the Caravelle as part of a business trip. Overall the hotel is very nice and central, walking distance from most of the attractions - shopping, luxury shopping, paintings, sightseeing, restaurants etc. However, the USE200++ rate was not worth the room we got. Very quaint hotel with nice room service and massage centre. Be careful of their concierge service - due to miscommunications they say something one day and completely revert on it the next!!!
Overall I would rate this as a good stay but prefer the Park Hyatt oppposite at a slightly higher price.

Average for it's class. Generally had trouble in getting advise from staff about local conditions. Difficulty in communicating as no one had good English. Generally staff were efficient but brusque. Found staff at Majestic and Sheraton warmer.

Another large corporate five star (would be 4 in another country)

Stayed here with my MBA cohort whilst consulting for local firms. The rooms are large and clean, but the place hasn't been updated in ten years so little bits are beginning to let down this five star (eg. My bed sagged so I kept rolling into the middle). I'd say in a first-world city this hotel would only be four stars, but it's certainly as good as you can get in HCM city.
.
The staff are all friendly and attentive, the pool is really nice, secluded, with a bar and adjacent gym.
.
Breakfast is the only meal I had there, (although bar food is tasty, esp. the ice cream sundaes). The breakfast selection is large, but for a vegetarian roughly speaking limited to eggs, waffles, cereal, fruit salad and bread. All the interesting world foods have dead things in them.
.
You won't be disappointed if you stay here, but is it worth ten times what I paid the following week in a downtown guest-house (Hong Han Guest House)... no probably not.
