Quest’albergo, facilmente raggiungibile in macchina (si trova vicino all’Avenida da Boavista, una specie di 5th Avenue di Oporto), vanta del personale gentile e premuroso che ha fatto si che mio marito e io ci godessimo ogni istante del poco tempo che ci abbiamo passato. Al momento della registrazione alcuni addetti del personale sono immediatamente andati a parcheggiare la macchina e a portare il nostro bagaglio in camera. Una volta lì l'idea generale che ce ne siamo fatti non avrebbe potuto essere migliore: la camera era spaziosa e il letto grande con delle lenzuola pulite; c’era una scrivania dove leggere/scrivere/lavorare e un tavolo tondo con due tazze pronte per farci un tè, il tutto insieme alla solita TV e minibar (pagato). Quindi la prima impressione era ottima. La mattina successiva abbiamo apprezzato la porta extra che dava sulla camera dato che ammortizzava i soliti rumori fatti dagli altri ospiti e così ci ha permesso di dormire un pochino di più. Dopodiché il buffet della colazione si è rivelato gustoso e fresco; inoltre mentre mangiavamo ci potevamo godere la vista sulla piscina (siccome pioveva non posso dirvi come fosse). Siamo usciti più o meno alle 11 per una passeggiata turistica e quando siamo tornati abbiamo trovato che la camera era stata riordinata: il letto era stato fatto e i nostri abiti erano stati messi tutti in ordine. Più tardi abbiamo telefonato alla reception perché volevamo ordinare un taxi per la sera. Anche in questo caso sono stati davvero efficienti perché quando il taxi è arrivato, all'orario stabilito, ci hanno telefonato per informarci di ciò. Al ritorno ci siamo seduti nel salone del piano terra: questa è una sala davvero rilassante e vi si trovano a disposizione giornali, in caso si voglia leggere, e una televisione. Anche in questo caso il personale si è rivelato gentile e efficiente. Dato che ci trovavamo lì per Capodanno, ci hanno dato, invece del solito tè, una bottiglia di Champagne e un delizioso pezzo di formaggio. Quando è arrivato il momento di pagare il conto, tutto è avvenuto senza intoppi. Durante il viaggio di ritorno non avevamo altro che bei ricordi di questo posto.

Das Hotel war mit dem Auto sehr gut zu erreichen (das Hotel liegt nahe Avenida da Boavista, der „5th Avenue“ von Porto) und das Personal war auch sehr nett, meiner Frau und mir hat der kurze Aufenthalt dort super gefallen. Beim Einchecken hat sich das Personal sofort darum gekümmert, unser Auto zu einzuparken und unser Gepäck aufs Zimmer zu bringen. Das Zimmer hätte nicht besser sein können: geräumig, großes Bett mit sauberen Laken, Möbel zum Lesen/Schreiben/Arbeiten, ein runder Tisch mit zwei Teetassen, ein Fernseher und eine Minibar. Wie gesagt, der erste Eindruck hätte nicht besser sein können. Am Morgen zeigte sich, dass die extra Tür zum Zimmer hin ganz nützlich war, denn man konnte den sonst üblichen Lärm nicht hören und so ein wenig länger schlafen. Das Frühstücksbüfett war lecker und frisch zubereitet und man hatte von dort auch eine großartige Aussicht auf den Pool (es war am regnen, ich kann über den Pool also nicht sagen). Wir haben das Hotel gegen 11 Uhr verlassen und uns ein wenig die Stadt angesehen und als wir wiederkamen, war unser Zimmer gemacht und unsere Klamotten ordentlich zusammengelegt. Wir haben später dann an der Rezeption angerufen, damit sie uns ein Taxi für den Abend bestellen. Das hat auch alles super geklappt. Als das Taxi zur verabredeten Zeit da war, riefen sie uns auf dem Zimmer an. Als wir am Abend ins Hotel zurückkehrten sind wir noch in die Lounge gegangen. Der Bereich dort war sehr schön, es lagen Zeitungen herum und es lief auch ein Fernseher. Und auch dort war das Personal sehr freundlich und tüchtig. Wir waren übrigens Sylvester dort und fanden am Abend neben dem üblichen Tee noch eine Flasche Champagner und Käse im Zimmer vor, vom Hotel spendiert. Das Auschecken ging problemlos über die Bühne. Wir haben an den Aufenthalt dort nur gute Erinnerungen.

Con fácil acceso en coche (el hotel está cerca de la Avenida da Boavista – algo así como la 5ta Avenida en la ciudad de Porto), y personal muy amable, a mi esposa y a mí nos encantó el poco tiempo que estuvimos en este fantástico hotel. En el registro, el personal apareció de inmediato para aparcar el coche, y llevar nuestro equipaje a la habitación. Una vez allí, lo que vimos no podría haber sido mejor: habitación grande, cama grande con sábanas limpias, mobiliario para leer / escribir / trabajar, una mesa redonda con dos tazas listas para tomar té, aparte de la típica televisión y minibar (de pago) listos. Así que la primera impresión no podría haber sido mejor. En la mañana, la puerta extra que da a la habitación demostró ser muy útil, evitando los típicos ruidos que los otros huéspedes hacen, lo cual nos permitió dormir aún más. Después, el bufé del desayuno estuvo sabroso y fresco, y con una fantástica vista a la piscina (estaba lloviendo, así que no podemos hacer comentarios sobre ella). Salimos del hotel alrededor de las 11am para hacer un recorrido turístico, y a nuestro regreso encontramos una habitación ordenada: la cama hecha y nuestra ropa estaba perfectamente arreglada. Después, llamamos al mostrador para que nos pidieran un taxi para la noche. Se mostraron muy eficientes, porque una vez que el taxi llegó a la hora especificada, recibimos una llamada telefónica para informarnos. A nuestro regreso, estábamos en el vestíbulo en la planta baja y el lugar nos pareció muy agradable, con una buena selección de periódicos gratuitos para leer allí y una televisión para ver. El personal demostró, una vez más, ser amable y eficiente. Y como nuestra estancia ocurrió durante el evento del Año Nuevo, esa noche recibimos una botella de champaña y un delicioso pastel de queso, aparte de nuestro té. La salida fue rápida. En nuestro viaje de regreso, no teníamos más que buenos recuerdos.

With a easy access by car (the hotel is close to Avenida da Boavista – a kind of 5th Avenue in Porto city), and a very kind staff, my spouse and I, just loved the few time spent in this great hotel. At the check in, the staff prompted immediately to park the car, and carry our luggage to the bedroom. Once there, the general overview couldn’t be better: large room, big bed with clean sheets, furniture to read/write/work, a round table with two cups ready to enjoy some tea, among the usual TV, and minibar (paid) set. As so, the first impression couldn’t be better. By the morning, the extra door that gives access to the room, revealed very useful, avoiding the usual noises done by other guests, which allowed us to sleep a while more. Afterwards, the breakfast buffet revealed tasty and fresh, and with a great view to the swimming pool (it’s was raining, therefore no opinion can be expressed about this item). We left the hotel around 11 am for some tourist walk, and at the comeback we found a trim room waiting for us: the bed done and our clothes were orderly arranged. Later on, we called the reception desk, in order to call us a taxi for the evening. They showed great efficiency, because once the taxi arrived at the specified hour, we received a phone call informing us of the fact. At the comeback, we have been in the lounge at the ground floor, and found the space very pleasant, with a good set of newspapers freely available for in-reading, and a TV for visioning. The staff proved once more, to be kind and efficient. And because our stay matched with the New Year event, we received in that evening a bottle of champagne and a delicious piece cheese, beside the usual tea set. The check out occurred swiftly. In the comeback trip, we only brought good memories.

My husband and I went to Portugal last September and were pleasantly surprised with Tivoli Porto hotel. It is situated in a residential area with easy access to Porto's main activities, which makes it very convenient and quiet to stay at this hotel. The rooms are extremely clean and the beds are amazingly comfortable! The breakfast is also good - we did not have any other meals in the hotel. The pool needs some rennovation but that did not bother us since the room was so comfortable. The only thing we regret about this hotel is having booked our stay with a package that included a city tour. It was overpriced for what it really offered and one of the activities we had paid for was actually not available at the time of our stay. There are lots of city tour options you can choose from there, so no need to book in advance. Other than that, great experience!
