"We spent one week in Adelboden for skiing. I was there with my husband and my 14-year-old son. The room was very large. Breakfast and Dinner excellent. In the evening it was offered a great buffet with very good food. The hotel is above average for a four-star-hotel. You will feel very well! "

Christmas In Switzerland

We spent Christmas in this hotel in 2005. The location is just perfect and for those people that like to ski it could not be better. Having said that non skiers ( of which we are two ) can take the cable cars to the tops of various peaks and experience the most wonderful views. The Hotel itself is very good with a first class menu and a comfortable lounge in which to enjoy a glass/bottle of wine or some very good German beers. The room we stayed in had two balconies that looked over the mountain and the village. A perfect way to wake up on Christmas morning with a winter wonderland to gaze out upon. Friendly staff complimented our stay here and we would certainly recommend this Hotel for anyone thats want a winter break or beit for that manner a break at anytime of the year as we understand this is also good walking country after the snow has gone.

Fantastic Hotel with amazing views

A group of 8 of us stayed at the Ramada Treff in March 2006 and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel far outweighed our expectations and was more 5 star than 4. The rooms are enormous and we had a balcony which extended towards the slopes with outstanding views and which provided a sun trap, great for topping up that tan! The hotel restaurant surpassed itself with a la carte 3 course meals every night. The translations into English were at times hilarious such as "on a bed of vegetable spit" or "with cheese dandruff", but the meals were fantastic, top quality with a good choice, even ostrich steak one night and one night the most extensive sweet buffet I have ever seen, it stretched out the restaurant as far as the lifts! You also had the option of dining in another sister hotel one night, which was a let down compared to the Treff. The hotel is about a 10 minute level walk to the gondola's but through the pretty village, although the bus station is virtually opposite the hotel entrance. The resort and hotel are little known to the British and was mainly occupied by Germans, but the atmosphere was good. There is a fantastic piano bar with a regular player/singer each evening providing good entertainment. The drinks are however pricey, and we found it cheaper to buy a glass of wine at the bar than in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient beyond their duty and nothing was too much trouble. The boot room was adequate, a little small and not heated, but not a problem. All in all the Ramada Treff was an absolute treat and we were all gobsmacked when we saw what we had got for our 'bargain' ski trip from the UK. I notice that Crystal have taken it out of their 2006/07 ski brochure as I think they made a loss from our group compared to the flat rate prices charged by the hotel. Do not dither, book the Ramada Treff!
