I stayed at this hotel during my last business trip and was very comfortable the whole time. I stayed at this hotel based on recommendations from my co-workers who had stayed here more than once. This was my first ever trip to Europe so I am not sure if anything I encountered was out of the ordinary. I booked a "suite" which are the only non-smoking rooms from what I understand. The beds are very comfortable and I loved the down comforter and pillows. The wireless was free to use and I had no problems connecting at any time. It had a small balcony with a table and chairs outside. The balcony had a gorgeous view and I would consider it pretty private with textured glass on each side. There was no digital alarm clock in the room and I later figured out that the phone was also an alarm clock. The TV was nice, possibly HD, and included a DVD player. My room was laid out a little different than I expected as my toilet had a room all to itself. The shower was also facing differently than I expected. The shower head was on the side near the front and it had a small door, but was basically an open shower. There is a heated towel rack and the robe and slippers were also included I believe. I'm not sure if it's true, but it almost felt like the tile in the bathroom was also heated. I don't believe they were, but they had some sort of tile that made it so it wasn't cold no matter when I went into the bathroom. The usual amenities were also included with the bathroom, such as soap and hairdryer...etc. Breakfast is included and is absolutely delicious!!! I suppose it was considered a cold breakfast, but it included approx. 10 types of cereal, 3 types of yogurt, tons of bread, wonderful fruit salad, several cheese and deli slices, honey, jams, butter, several different fruit juices. Basically you name it, they had it and it was all simply wonderful. They also asked me every morning if I would like eggs as well, which I turned down, so I do not know if they are included with the meal or not. I had to leave extremely early in the morning the day I left, which was before breakfast is served. They offered to prepare something and leave it outside my door so it would be there when I woke up. I requested a little sandwich with salami and cheese and they also gave me an apple. It was soooo good when it was 4am and I had a long drive to the airport. I felt that this was a very nice service.

We turned up at the Sonnenhof - quite by chance as we had not booked any hotels at all for our holiday and just randomly followed the signs to the hotel. It was really lovely - OK so the rooms wern't the most stylish i've stayed in but they were big with giant bathrooms. The food was really good and breakfast was included in the room price which was nice. However it was loads of small things that made the place really special like check out was 13.00, breakfast was until 10.30 but if you missed it (easy if your not staying there on business) they would make you breakfast up until 14.00. The whole pool area was lovely with oranges and water on hand to drink. Our room even though a standard was vast the same size as a junior suite in other hotels and all the staff were reallly nice.

Our second stay at the Sonnenhof. We had a deluxe room with a large terrace ovelooking the valley. Location in Vaduz is above the town in the peace and quiet. You can walk uphill to the castle or downhill among the vineyards in residential back-yards. The views are stunning from the balcony - the castle, mountains and the Rhine valley. You can experience the best of Swiss wines - yes, Swiss wines, and then the somelier will help you get to a winery. Try it - it will be a true experience. We stayed at the Sonnehof as a base for hiking and touring. We were rewarded every day. Food is inventive; service is stellar in every way.
