Posthum has stayed here and says:
"We stayed for 2 nights in the Radisson for a short break and it was excellent value for money and the staff were friendly and professional. Originally we thought that the hotel seemed a long way from the city centre but as states on the website it is a (very) easy 10 minute walk to great restaurants..."

Just spent one Saturday night in this Hotel and my experiences were as follows: Poor welcome on arrival, treated badly in that we were made wait 10 minutes whilst the room was checked to see if it was ready and felt the checkin procedure left allot to be desired. Radisson Belfast is you normal SAS Radisson hotel, the finish on it isn't quite as good as most I've stayed in. The lift was nosy and slightly jittery, although there was a nice view as you ascended. The room was good and bathroom large with all normal facilities. Overall we had a good stay but it could have been better. The Hotel really isn't in a great area for shopping or getting around the city centre, luckily taxis are cheap (about ?3) so you can get to and from the hotel without much trouble. Walking it really wasn't an option...

We have just returned from a weekend in Belfast. Whilst the people in Belfast were fantastically friendly, there was an abundance of taxis available - and the restaurants and bars we visited were great - the staff at this hotel were just apalling. I feel bad saying all the staff as it appeared to be just the check in girl & cleaning staff. We arrived at 7pm having booked on line - there was no smile, no welcome to the hotel - nothing. All very matter of fact. We were told they did not take laser (this was not stated for the online booking) in order to secure our rooms, when we asked for rooms close together, despite making the booking 4 months previous and there being 120 rooms in the hotel, they could not accommodate this in anyway what so ever( we would have been happy with one or 2 rooms on the same floor). When they did attempt to put 2 rooms on the same floor - it was a double room instead of a twin. I have worked in hotels and I have never had such a bad greeting/first impression at the outset of the trip. For the duration of the trip nothing the staff did seemed to redeem the issue despite the fact we did not stay in the hotel too much. The Staff appeared just so unhappy and unfriendly. I cannot say enough about Belfast but i would never stay in this hotel again. Whilst the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was fantasitc - the service is so poor that on the second day of our stay - at 5pm someone came to clean our room despite us having had breakfast in bed at 10.30 am. When they did clean the room they left our glasses of breakfast orange juice in the room and left used packets of sugar on the side table ( so no surfaces were wiped down). Where they were very helpful was in issuing new keys to people who had lost them. My cousin managed to get keys for 2 rooms without being asked who she was, proof of identity - anything at all. To top it all off - my sister left her toilet bag and make up bag behind her in the room - she realised when we were on the way home. When she rang the hotel that evening they said that there was no record of anything but they would mail her the next morning. Needless to say she got no email. She ended up calling the hotel several times who told her they had no record of her call on the Sunday evening - and amazingly the 2 bags have disappeared. The hotel have no record of them. The problem is that there were retainers in the toilet bag which cost ?400. The hotel have taken no responsibility and have dealt with the matter very badly. The manager has not even bothered to call my sister, in fact she was told that the manager was in meetings all day today and tomorrow and maybe the following day. We booked 8 hotel rooms in total at an approximate cost of over ?1300. We were polite in all our dealings with the staff - those in the main only being check in and check out. Unprofessional, uncurtious and unfriendly - not a hotel to stay in. Very disappointed

Have stayed here 3 times, and I really like this hotel. It's a convenient walk to the city (less than 10 minutes). The rooms are spacious and decorated nicely. (One trip we had a campbed in the room and there was plenty of room, and the campbed was very comfortable!). Nice toiletries, good selection in mini bar. The breakfast is nice, although they can be a bit slow to replenish at peak times. Has lovely cocktails in the bar. The bar isn't that lively, but I'm not a big fan of hotel bars.

Stayed here for one night on business and was very happy. Plush, comfortably rooms with all amenities required (iron, trouser press, laundry, tea/coffee, tv, plenty of desk space), great power shower, good lighting, fast and efficient check-in/out, internet access, minutes to the city, set on the river so nice for dinner in the evening - the Finini restaurant was very good. Yes, I will stay here again when back on business in Belfast.
