Stayed for one night in July 2008.
The Ramada had friendly staff, and check in was straight forward, and without delay.
The room, though fairly small, was very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfy, and there were tea making facilities, and even an iron & ironing board.
A flat screen TV was also in the room, complete with Sky Sports, however, it looked like someone had been messing with the controls, as I needed to retune the channels back in.
The shower was fabulous, so powerful, complete with toiletries and even a heated mirror for when the bathroom gets steamy. The room was quite warm, but had a very capable air-con system, which soon regulated the temperature.
The bar was a quite typical 'hotel bar', but nice enough.
The other gem is the indian restaurant. The food in there is plentiful and delicious.
As other reviewers have noted, outside there is a Macdonalds outside which does tend to attract the local youths in their souped up Citroen Saxo's, but to be fair, they were not a nuisance or disturbance.
Overall, this hotel is one of the best 'budget' hotels I have stayed at.

I was very impressed with this hotel. I arrived in Crewe by train and the Ramada is a short although complicated walk from the station. See the external photo on their website ramadacrewe.co.uk before traveling thus making the hotel easy to find since you can see it from quite a way off.
The building itself appears very new and modern. My room was clean and pleasant with comfortable double bed and more than usual accessories including useful stuff like steam iron and illuminated shaving mirror. Only had a shower no bathtub but that suited me fine especially considering the beautiful dark quarry-tiled decor and modern high-powered shower system. Could not detect any wireless internet unfortunately, although there was a wired port which I couldn't use.
A large sliding door in the window area opened onto a nice veranda with table and a couple of chairs. I visited on an extremely hot and sunny day so it was quite pleasant to make a cup of coffee and sit out there for a while after a busy day.
Sadly this highlighted the only downside to this hotel which is that it overlooks Crewe. In particular there is a MacDonalds directly outside and perhaps to celebrate the fine weather the entire local chav population decided to congregate and hold a "loudest car stereo" competition in the drive-thru, accompanied by tyre-smoke from handbrake turns and clutch-dumping exits.
We later ate in the hotel's Jali restaurant which as per other reviews is very pleasant in fact quite a gem with regular international as well as Indian cusisine. I then had a fairly good night's sleep apart from periodic noise from the yobs outside who were still going hard at it.

This was the second time my husband and myself have stayed at the Ramada when he has been on business in Crewe.
The rooms are very nice and comfortable and I love the shower - its so powerful.
The staff are friendly and helpful - the first time we stayed a couple of months ago the hairdryer didn't work and I was stood with wet hair - I rang reception to see if they had a spare dryer and within 3 minutes the receptionisty came up to my room and let me into the empty room next door to dry my hair. I think that is pretty good service as things do go wrong and its how you deal with it that counts which in this instance was great.
The bar is a nice area to sit and relax and there is a wide range of drinks including soft drinks and hot drinks available.
All in all a very good stay and we will be staying there every time my husband has to go to Crewe from now on.
Well Done Ramada Crewe!

We stayed at this hotel as a stop off point on our way home and were truely suprised at the level of service experienced.
The rooms were modern, well finished and had a balcony.
The Indian restaurant was a joy, excellent food served by the kindest, most helpful staff you could wish to experience.
Overall an unexpected delightful stay.

Stayed here on business. Not a bad hotel - room was clean and well equiped. Just felt a touch on the small side - very much akin to newer hotels built in the UK.
I arrived late so didn't get a chance to sample dinner (which was a shame as it is Indian cuisine) nor the bar but both looked very nice. Breakfast was on par with most chain hotels.
Definitely worth staying in for short periods.
