Stayed one night in Waterford at this hotel. Room decorations were kind of sparse, the pillows and bed were very uncomfortable, and the sheets smelled like sour milk. It's quite far from city center, but is only a 5 minute drive down the road to the Waterford Crystal Factory. The night we stayed there some drunks were banging on doors on our floor. It's cheap and was fine for a one night stay, but I'd recommend looking into a different hotel.

This hotel is great value! Lovely staff, big bright rooms with nice bathroom AND free sky movies.
Bar food and breakfast lovely (huge choice), starters in main restaurant were left uneaten but the mains made up for it!
Overall I would definetly recommend this hotel with car/taxi needed to get to city centre

Stayed for a weekend at the Ramada with no complaints whatever.
The rooms are modern, spacious and clean...I think there was a choice of pillow. It's that sort of place. There certainly a very nice display of various teas, coffees & biscuits in the room if you like having the option of a bit of self catering.
Breakfast was pretty much what I expected in terms of choice and I found it all to be excellent. They provide the newspapers in the breakfast room which is a nice touch if you are on your own.
We ate also in the bar for evening food. Good choice, fair prices and service was fine.
I should point out that I was really just looking for somewhere to rest my head and was not too fussed with regard to in house atmostphere, proximity to the city etc. If you are looking for a lively hotel this is probably not the place for you. Likewise, location is a priority then this is a couple of miles out of town on the Cork road.
Not wishing to end on any negatives here though. This is a great hotel if you are on limited budget
