The hotel is situated in the centre of Ayr, only a few minutes walk from the sea. It has a large and free car park. The room (79 Pound B&B per night for a couple) was lovely, with a vew to the sea, spacious bathroom, well equipped (iron and board, plenty of room to hang clothes, wide bed, safe etc.) The staff are very helpful and courteous. Breakfast is rich (includes bacon, eggs of all sorts, cereals, fruit juices, cakes, yellow cheese, fresh fruit, butter, conserves, cooked tomatoes, rolls, toast, coffee, tea, sausages etc.). On Saturday (?) and Sunday breakfast is served until 12:00, so it can serve as "brunch". Disadvantages: There is no refrigerator in the room, no air conditioning, no ceiling lights and for those who like to sleep late - the sea gulls can be noisy... Yet again had another fantastic few days at the Ramada Ayr. Returned this time with my partner who enjoyed as much as I did. Service in bar and restaurant was again of very high standard and all the staff although busy were very friendly and took time to talk to you. Reception staff again were very proffessional and helpful. The only draw back was the hotels carpark which is currently under a major refurb but will be opening again within the next week. Rooms were agin on very hight standard and well kept All in all another fantastic stay.

Stayed at the Ramada Ayr over the May bank holiday weekend on a golf break and had a fantastic time. The rooms were lovely after the completion of a recent refurb. The restaurant service and the food was excellent. The best part of my stay was the staff, they were out of this world friendly, chatty and took care of all your needs. The bar staff were in a league of there own service was great and the duty manager kept the bar open until the small hours for us. Will be going back to this hotel again and again and would recommend it to every one. Centred in the town centre and a few minutes from the beach you could not ask for more
