This is a great hotel for the price. We got a very reasonable weekend rate and had a nice contemporarily furnished room with a fabulous view of the city. As other reviewers have said, each room has one wall that is all window. We were on the 14th floor facing Basel center, and the view was stunning. The room was also confortable and nicely air conditioned. The location is excellent. Right outside of the hotel, we picked up the no. 6 tram into the center of the city, and going the other way the same tram took us out to the great art museum, the Beyeler Foundation. Then, we took the no. 2 tram to the Kunsthaus, which also has a terrific art collection. This hotel was a definite bargain for what we got.

The Ramada tower is the tallest Swiss building, known as Messeturm, the Fair Tower. We stayed there just for one night and I have to say: our (double) room was very small, but probably one of the most silent rooms I ever had, and that's a great thing. Bathroom very tiny but efficient. We were on the 10th floor facing the old city and the floor to ceiling windows are the best way to enjoy it. Then if you think that prices during weekends are cut (avg 100 EUR) this should definetly be MY hotel in Basel. Breakfast is very expensive, so be sure it's included in your rate. They have a Park valet for something like 25 EUR/day.. Position is great in the modern Fair complex just few stops from the city center via urban rail. You'll have a 2-day transport pass included in your rate, as most of the places in Basel.

Loved the place! Especially if you're going to the trade fair, it's very handy as the hotel is right opposite. The interior is somewhat minimalist but very boutique. Especially the glass floor (and underfloor heating) bathrooms are stunning. I had a room relatively high up and when switching of the light, the view through the bottom to top windows was stunning at night! Highly recommended!
