The Ramada Limited is one of the less-expensive, decent hotels in Roswell. I stayed on the final night of a lengthy road trip. I was very tired and grumpy. I'd also spent the previous nights in a 4-star hotel. As such, my perspective could easily have been skewed towards the negative. But the staff was friendly, the room was spacious and clean, it had hot water and a good bed (sad pillows, though), and that was all I really needed. The next morning, the power went out at 8am, but it wasn't the hotel's fault -- it affected the entire block. Because of the power outage, I didn't stay for the free breakfast. I would probably stay here again if I got the same type of discounted rate ($62), but not for much more.

The Ramada Limited in Roswell was just a stop for the night in our long journey back west to visit my old hometown. My husband and I are glad we made the stop at this slightly older hotel on the outskirts of Roswell, NM. We were already being greated within 2 steps of coming through the front door by the evening desk clerk who calls himself Kenny. Kenny was a tall slender man with a GREAT personality! He really sounded confident as he spoke to us about some of the "better" places to get a supper time meal in Roswell! He recommended an excellent salad/steakhouse named Cattle Baron! We arrived back at the hotel after dinner to find a perfect room! Microwave, fridge, flat screen tv, and what looked like a newly remodeled bathroom. (I'm not sure if it was recently remodeled, but it sure looked like it!) My husband likes to watch tv with many pillows behind his back, so we once again had to call and bug Kenny and ask him for a couple extra pillows. To our surprise, he was knocking on our door in just a few minutes! The sleep was excellent! I should've asked what kind of beds they were to buy one for my house! The morning shower was also great! I have a problem with LOW water pressure in the shower! I hate it! Luckily the Ramada had plenty of it to make my shower experience great! My husband and I then packed up and went to the front to visit their FREE continental breakfast. It is one of the BIGGER breakfast setups than most hotels. There was alot of food and drinks to choose from. Not to mention a free Roswell Daily Record newspaper courtesy of the Ramada for each of their guests! A younger guy named Tyler then checked us out and reminded my husband and I to "drive safely"! Which was a huge WOW! I can't remember the last time a hotel clerk reminded me to drive safe! Overall I rated the Ramada in Roswell, NM an EXCELLENT! If we ever pass through town again, they will have our business! Hands Down! Thank you for an excellent one night stay Kenny, Tyler, and the rest of the Ramada crew! You made it a great one :-)

We spent one night at this hotel. (Ramada Limited-Roswell.) The price was the best we could find in Roswell for something that was not a dirty under par hotel. Heck LaQuinta was wanting 129 for a room! Anyhow it is way off the beaten path and that is probably why they could keep the rates low. The front desk was easy to check in at. The rooms were really large for a regular hotel so that was nice. The beds are very uncomfortable and need to be replaced in a bad way one had broken springs in it! The sheets, pillow cases and blankets are thread bare. The pillows are flatter then pancakes! The bathroom was clean nice and wonderful shower head and water preasure that was reallly nice. The towels were nice because there were 4 sets enough for everyone, but they too are thread bare and so thin. They need to be updated. The front desk sent up more pillows when we asked for them. The only problem I had with managment is that they could not find when I checked in, I even filled out the paper they gave me about what car we drove. So when i checked out they wanted me to pay again! However I had my proof that my bank act was already charged and I was not going to pay again! Then the told me ok the payment comes late when you pay on the internet and they only get a part of it as the internet site gets a portion. They said next time book direct with them. We would stay there again if there is nothing at a good rate open in Roswell, but my number one choice hotel in Roswell is the Hampton, they have not lost my info before and the bedding is always nice clean and fluffy soft!

This Hotel is listed as Pets WELCOME - they don't bother to tell you until after you check in that if you leave your pet in the room, even if in a crate that they will contact the Roswell Animal Shelter to seize your pet!!!! Then once you find this out they will not refund your money - because of their false advertisement stating pets welcome we are out $170.00 Needless to say we did not stay here!!!

Great (better than expected) continental breakfast!

We are a family of four, with 5 and 8-yr-old kids. We were only staying in Roswell one night (Carlsbad Caverns one day, UFO Museum the next morning) and not spending much time at the hotel, so we were just looking for something as inexpensive as possible, but nice enough where we wouldn't worry about the "ick" factor. There are a number of budget hotels in Roswell, but many of them appear to be independent and one never knows what to expect, particularly when booking online. We almost booked at the Super8 (only $2 less), as we often stay at a Super8 as a rest stop on an annual roadtrip/skitrip and knew what we could expect there, but decided to try for something a bit nicer in the Ramada ($58 including tax). At check-in, the woman at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us restaurant suggestions. At check-out, another was very friendly as well. As we thought, the room and the continental breakfast were nicer than our general experience at Super8 (can't speak specifically for the Roswell one). The room was very clean, probably bigger, with nicer carpeting and furniture. TV had many channels, including pay-movie channels. Although we weren't there long enough to watch much TV, it was quite coincidental that "Independence Day" was on when we got to our room in Roswell, NM. Do you think it plays on an endless loop in that town??? The shower was very nice with the bowed-out shower curtain and fancy showerhead. Also, one-piece fiberglass/plastic construction of the tub and nice large (12") tile floor was pleasant as it minimizes grout/mortar, and just seems so much more sanitary. Also included 4 full sets of towels (body, hand, and washcloth), versus only 2 sets at most other motels. Only problem with the bathroon was the way the door opened against the sink, so you had to close the door to use the sink and it limited access to the bathroon for others. The continental breakfast was the most pleasant surprise! Much nicer than expected. Continental breakfasts are the bane of a low-carb diet (our Super8 experience has just provided donuts or maybe one other pastry), but this spread happily had a couple of good sources of protein. Hard boiled eggs, thoughtfully pre-peeled, presented in a chilled bowl of water, and an assortment of Yoplait yogurt. Also included, an assortment of cereals, donuts, bagels, toast, oatmeal, apples & oranges and the biggest surprise, a Belgium Wafflemaker -- with pre-measured cups of batter for you to make your own in one of those close-and-rotate waffle appliances with a 2:30 minute automatic timer. Microwave and toaster, as well. We (the three of us not on the low-carb diet) loved the waffles. Also, choice of milk, three juices (orange, apple, cranberry) and coffee. The breakfast room also had a TV tuned to CNN. Pool was closed/covered (open May-Oct???), but it looked nice enough for the kids to enjoy. There's also a game room off the lobby, but we didn't use it. I believe it had a pool table and some video games. Lobby had a nice sitting area around a fireplace and a TV. The hotel was off the main strip, but only a couple of minutes drive. A hotel on the northern part of Main St would probably be just as far away from the UFO Museum as this was.
