I'm from Germany but I've visited the US over 10 times and always stayed in several motels during my trips. So far I thought I had already seen most of the best and worst places to stay.
Now I know better...
My expectations aren't very high: A clean room/bathroom, working equipment (flush, shower, TV) and a bed. For me it's just a place to sleep and freshen myself up.
I didn't even get that!
My room smelled strange and after using the toilet flush just once I knew why (overflowing). The third person I asked was finally able to hand me a plunger. But that didn't help anything, it even got worse. Even after reporting to the front desk the second time, no one offered any help or at least wanted to see the mess in my room. I requested a new room after the toilet flowed over the third time. At least I got that....
The next room was very spacious, but smelled even worse. At least the toilet flush worked. But the bathroom wasn't cleaned up at all. The beds weren't much cleaner.
At night some people had a "meeting" in front of our room and wouldn't stop laughing and talking. They must have been from the motel staff because halfway through their conversation I heard my name and they were quite amused by the problems I had with my room.
I escaped the next morning around dawn without even looking at the breakfast they offered.
The last highlight was checking out. I booked my room about 5 month in advance through Ramada's own website. Now I was told that my rate was incorrect and the actual rate was about 10 $ higher. I wasn't told that at check in and after I talked to the manager I was finally able to escape without paying more.

I stayed at the Ramada for a two weeks while searching for an apartment in Oceanside. The staff at the check-in desk was friendly and helpful in working with me on the rate for my stay. The room itself is relatively spacious however not the most comfortable or clean, even in by business motel standards. Fixtures were dusty and there was trash and large clumps of lint under the bed. I couldn't walk around in the room without shoes as the carpets were so filthy, they turned the bottom of my feet black and slightly damp. Apparently young people like to rent rooms for the weekend to have parties at night and the noise carries, especially when other guests are running up and down the corridors on the floors above. If you need a cheap place to sleep and shower for a couple days and will be spending most of your time away from the hotel, you may be able to tolerate your stay. However there are other accomodations closer to the ocean and downtown so I would definitely suggest seeking other hotels before settling for this one.

Absolutely Disgusting, would never stay there again, actually would never stay at a Ramada, since it looks like they don't care about this property.

I arrived late and was quickly taken care of. The Manager noticed I had a small make shift bandage on my finger and asked if I wanted a few band-aids. The room was clean and the place was quiet. I was on the fourth floor. I would go again

I wish I had read these reviews before subjecting my family to this hotel. I was looking for an affordable place to stay for me and my family. What a nightmare this hotel ended up being. We experienced a terrible excuse for a breakfast, filthy rooms, rude staff, lots of late night visitors to several rooms, lights didn't work! I could go on and on. I will never stay here again! I loved the area, but I should have stayed at the hotel across the street.
