Looking for a nice place to stay for 2 nights between Disney and San Diego. This was a good choice. Room sizes were a bit small. We could have never fit 6 people in the 1 bedroom suite. (3 adults, 3 kids) I'm glad my mother-in-law asked for her own room, however overall, the place was very nice and clean. Nothing special from the outside. Free breakfast was great for a quick meal. Fresh fruit (bananas and oranges), yogurts, made-to-order waffles, cereal, juice. It was great & FREE. Place located next to hwy, but honestly we didn't notice any noise. Heavy curtains blocked out the streetlights. It seemed like every place we went was just off Rt. 5 so it was very convenient. China Buffet next door made for a good quick dinner with kids. I'm not sure if I would stay here for a week with the family, but for 1 or 2 nights, it was perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Internet worked great for printing boarding passes. "Gym" very small, but when you're on vacation, relax!! My big problem - only 1 washer and dryer available for guests to use.

Is this a Quality Inn or Motel 6?

If you like paying $100 per night for a Motel 6 room you will love this Quality (?) Inn. I remember staying at this very motel back in the 80"s when it WAS a Motel 6 and paying $16 per night. To their credit, Quality Inns has done some remodeling (carpets, furnishings, outside railings, and signage) but all in all it is still a Motel 6 with its tiny rooms, no tub showers, and lack of electrical plug ins. What really irked me was when I asked for a better rate using my AAA or AARP card and was told that if I used those cards my rate would be higher! This unit is located next to a card casino so be prepared for all night traffic and car door slamming. Be sure to wrap your head in a towel when you go to bed so the flashing blue lights from all the police acitivity on Mission Blvd won't keep you awake. Stay away!

Liked it because it was very convenient to the beach and to Legoland. Would definately stay there again.

I stayed on the property with a Govt rate of 120.00 a night. The rooms seemed a little worn out. When I walked on the carpet without shoes on, the bottom of my feet became black. The shower is the worst. I seriously have never taken a shower with so little water pressure. The shower is the first thing I check out in a hotel to determine the quality. I would have given this hotel a lower rating except for the fact that I will be getting reimbursed for my stay here. My advice is to plan ahead and stay somewhere else.
