"Location just perfect, every sight within walking distance. Staff very happy and very friendly! Breakfast had loads of options and left very happy! And got a double room (two single beds that you can just push together) for €99 for one night and was worth every cent. "

Stayed at PP Trier for 3 nights. Went directly to website and found special rate which included breakfast -- which was OUTSTANDING!! In addition to the standard "american" scrambled eggs/ boiled eggs/sausage bacon -- The buffet included a large assortment of cold cheeses/meats/ salmon along with an assortment of breads and and pastries and various cereals/ muslix and fruits - both dried and fresh along with juices/coffee etc. -- I have stayed in hundreds of hotels from no stars to 4 stars across the world and have to say this was one of the best. I found check in and front desk to be efficent and helpful. We had an issue with returning our rental car ( and speaking very little german) The front desk offered to call on our behalf and assisted us with the Hertz office. Rooms were clean and decent size. Location was great - only short five minute stroll to the porta negra and the platz with lots of shopping and eating. Dom Zumstiener (sp?) was outstanding restaurant. Parking is 10e a night but is directly under the hotel and very secure. Great location and I would recommend it!

We were planning to go to Luxembourg, but when we arrived to Frankfurt airport, we saw Trier on the map on the way to Luxembourg, we decided to spend some time there first (it has Karl Marx museum!). But when we arrived there, we loved the town so much that decided to spend all our long weekend there. We checked through the Internet (in the mobile phone) offers for the hotels in Trier and there was very attractive offer for Park Plaza. While walking to the hotel we stopped by in some others hotels too, but didn't like them that much. Park Plaza is vey nice, it's new. Rooms are very welcoming, tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast was not included in the price and was quite expensive, but in such town you don' t want to have breakfast in the hotel, as there are many coffee places that you want to visit. The location of the hotel is great, you live in the very center of everything. There is no noise from the street, as the town is very quite. There is also a welness center, but we were exploring the town all days long, doing some Christmas shopping, that we never had time to visit it. I highly recommend this hotel to families, couples, business travellers and everyone!

We spent a weekend in Trier just before Christmas with our four young children and stayed at the Park Plaza. Having requested two triple adjoining rooms, we were pleased to find that our rooms were large enough to comfortably accommodate three in each room and that our request for adjoining rooms was met without any difficulty. The rooms were immaculately clean, comfortable and quiet, even though the hotel was fairly full. The staff were friendly and efficient and our children quickly relaxed in the welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is very central for walking around the city of Trier and near to many restaurants. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of food that had something for the varying tastes in our family. The only difficulty was a long wait (45 mins) for a space in the public car park beneath the hotel, which was understandably busy in the run-up to Christmas.

I stayed here 2 nights as a base for Trier, Cochem, and Luxembourg sightseeing. The hotel reception area, breakfast restaurant, and room were clean and nicely decorated. I stayed in a room on the 3F. It was spacious and bed was comfortable with clean sheets. I'd have appreciated a tub and a bit more space in the bathroom, but still it was very neatly kept. The only thing that bothered me was a sculpture of a caeser put in a glass case attached to a wall with lighting. It was petty spooky... I loved their hot breakfast baffet with champagne! A wonderful way to start off a day. The receptionists were nice, although they seemed extremely busy and might not have appreciated us asking for recommendation for dinner places, etc. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. It provided all the necessities we have expected, which was clean and comfortable room.
