The Mondschein is a family run establishment located on the river front just across the old town. We had a family room for 4 and the room was excellent - spacious and very functionally designed. The view from our room of the river Inn & the old town beyond, was probably the best one can get anywhere in Innsbruck - & I say this fully aware that Innsbruck is a very pretty town with some amazing views. Breakfast at the small breakfast room was limited but very appetising. The quality of products offered was very good indeed. Innsbruck being a small place, practically all the sights were within a half mile radius and we needed transport only to & fro from the train station. With the magnificent Austrian Alps all around and colourful little row houses everywhere, Innsbruck is truly a beautiful place to visit. One could perhaps find better accomodation than the Mondschein but one could do worse as well.

For anyone that has travelled in Europe, room size should not suprise him... The room was small but confortable, very good bathroom with tub and independent WC in the room. I never heard any disturbing noise other people mention.
For anyone travelling with a car, free parking in Europe is a bonus, although it may not have american size space.
Location is the best... you are just across the river (1 block, or less) from the medieval town.
Very good continental breakfast.
Staff was very helpfull and with excellent attitude.
I'll surely stay again.

Location was good, across the river from old town. On a somewhat busy street, even though our room was on the back, the street behind was surprsingly busy (noisey). Free parking a plus. Room was clean and adequate. Breakfast was nice. Cute bar/pub off the lobby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing plush, but very adequate.

Tiny room and terrible parking situation having to use an elevator.

For an American version of Best Western with comfortable conveniences, I would say that this was a poor one. We made reservation in advance for late arrival and we had no other choice but to put up with a stuffy and small room ---the parking situation was scary having to use a car elevator for the upper level, and there was only a one-way street to return back to the hotel which took about 10 minutes.
The typical Austrian breakfast was very good!
