This is a 4 star hotel at best with high end 5 star pricing. We had a junior suite with a view to the mountains. This is nice but nothing extraordinary. Size of room ok for a suite, balcony is nice. However the downside of the view is that these rooms face the street and park and the noise at night is incredible, both from passers by and bored teens congregating opposite. There's a Hooters down the road which probably doesn't help.
Food is average and very expensive, as are all extras such as web access and laundry. Bedding was poor - we had a king bed which under the bedspread consisted of two single beds made up as such and pushed together.
This hotel is priced at probably double what it should be and I would not stay again.

We spent 4 nights at the Victoria-Jungfrau in a Bel-air junior suite. The room itself was spacious had a wonderful balcony and a really beautiful bathroom with separate shower and tub. It was very warm when we arrived and were pleased that we had one of the few rooms in Interlaken with air conditioning. However, the unit was not very efficient and we were glad when the external temperature dropped. This was the only fault we could find in this hotel which provided great service.
At this time of year Interlaken is quieter after the summer peak and this proved to be a very relaxing stay. The SPA was adjacent to our room and my wife found the treatments she had of an excellent quality. There are many places to eat and when you live in London prices do not seem excessive.
The location is good for touring and we enjoyed our visit by train to Jungfraujoch. The views were beautiful but if you can wait for a cloudless sunny day. Its expensive if you cannot see everything clearly.
Our breakfast was included in our rate and was very generous. There were many cooked items although as usual we found the scrambled eggs watery. However with the view form La Terrasse and the friendly service breakfast was an enjoyable experience.
The parking valet and bell service was very efficient and extremely helpful.
We just wished we could have stayed longer....

This is an outstanding hotel. The lobby and public areas are beautiful. The gourmet restaurant is excellent. My wife loved the spa, workout facilities and various treatments. My children really enjoyed the kids' club. The bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely--but not spectacular. The nightly entertainment was also very nice.
For mountain resorts in Europe, this is one of my favorites. There are flat screen tvs, nice qualities beds, pillows and linens. The breakfast was exceptional--really good coffee. Our kids loved the popcorn and cokes brought into the room for them.
The location is very nice being a couple of minutes just out of the center of Interlaken. Interlaken is small so it is a two minute walk back into the center.
The only reason I gave this hotel 4 instead of 5 stars is to differentiate it from the truly great hotels around the world. The Victoria, while beautiful, is not the same experience as the Four Seasons in Provence or the Villa d'Este on Lake Como.
We would definitely come back and this hotel has to be one of the great hotels found in the Swiss Alps. We liked it as much as any we have found in the mountains of europe.

Arrived at the Jungfrau for two nights as part of our 7 day tour of Switzerland, both Interlaken and the Victoria Jungfrau were by far my favorites during our time touring various areas of the country. The views from our hotel balcony (which had a small table and two chairs with pillows, perfect for happy hour) were amazing and overlooked the Alps. The park provided perfect views of the paragliders landing literally right in front of us! Good location-a short walk from both train stations and the ferries, great restaurants at the hotel, we enjoyed live music during dinner at the upper scale restaurant and a light lunch in the outdoor patio cafe restaurant. The service was excellent, both the hotel staff and our experiences at both restaurants. Guestrooms very clean and liked the hardwood floors. The only downside, no A/C during a very hot summer-they brought a fan right away upon our request. The nights cool down so it was comfortable but street noise a bit loud at night with the windows open. Got a reasonable rate on travelocity. You won't be disappointed, a very lovely & relaxing time experiencing both Interlaken and the Victoria Jungfrau!

We stayed here for five nights last week and had a wonderful stay.
The staff were extremely helpful and courteous with one of the most efficient check-ins I have ever experienced. There were various nice touches throughout our stay such as fresh fruit in the room and an invitation to drinks and canapes with the management one evening. Although we didn't attend, there were also behind the scenes tours of the hotel and of the wine cellar both of which we would have attended had we had more time.
Whilst our room was not at the front of the hotel, it was large, beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed. It was certainly a relaxing place to retreat to after a long day sightseeing! As there are plenty of public areas within the hotel from which to enjoy a view of the Jungfrau, we certainly didn't feel that we missed out.
We had breakfast in The Terrace one day which, as can be expected from a hotel of this calibre was excellent. However, if you don't want to have a large breakfast everyday and breakfast isn't included in your room rate, there is an excellent Co-Op and Co-Op cafe opposite the train station which is great value for money (although the ambience is not quite as luxurious!). We also had dinner in the Pastateca one evening which was good quality Italian fare. The lobby bar was a particularly pleasant spot for a pre/post dinner drink with a piano and friendly bar staff.
The spa was again of a very high standard with a wide range of facilities, all of which were well maintained. I had a facial in the Espa spa which was a beautifully relaxing experience.
The hotel is a five minute walk from the train station and a two minute walk from the centre of Interlaken so it is well-placed for anyone wanting to explore the area. Interlaken itself has good access to the Jungfraujoch, Lucerne, Schilthorn, Zurich, Bern and even Zermatt isn't too far away by train. If you are planning on travelling around Switzerland during your stay, there is the "Swiss Pass" which you can purchase from train stations (and other outlets but I'm not sure where). This gives you unlimited travel around Switzerland on the national transport network and will also give you discounts on other private lines e.g. the Jungfraujoch. It also gives access (free or discounted) to various museums around Switzerland. If you are relying on public transport during your stay then you may well find that this is the most cost-effective means.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the Victoria Jungfrau and would certainly return if the opportunity presented itself.
