I stayed at Les Trois Rois for 3 nights during Euro 2008.
It is excellently located, next to the bridge connecting the old and new towns
I was lucky enough to have a fantastic room (Suite) overlooking the Rhine, I think it was 322.
The room was a wonderful mix of antique style furniture and fittings and ultra modern electricals (all B&O).
Breakfast was excellent, in a very attractive room, I didn't eat dinner in the hotel.
The gym is unusual, with the resistance machines being all multi-function cables, but you can certainly get a full workout. There are also 2 treadmills, an eliptical machine and as I recall, 2 bikes.
Les Trois Rois is a very stylish hotel, there were a number of dignatories from Uefa, press etc also staying in the hotel whilst I was there, they obviosuly had great advice as to where to stay.

I've stayed at three kings for my wedding.
3 kings has been renovated an reopened in 2006. It is classic luxury in all respects.
book the junior suite with the balcony to the river rhine and have a nice in-room breakfast with a gr8 view over river rhine bridge... very romantic.

Stayed 3 nights in one of their living room suite rooms. Very nice. Great view of the river, the living room suites jut out from the building so windows are on two sides of the room.
Food was very nice, staff was friendly, great location.
The room must have been fairly recently renovated (last year or so anyway). Very modern/upscale features integrated nicely with old styling. Bathroom, for example, had toilet with one of those electronic toilet seats for combination bidet functions. Heated floor in bathroom was nice. Room temp controls and awnings controlled by touch-pad that any one (even me) could figure out.
The room furniture and bed were very comfortable and the room was amazingly quiet.
For sleeping you might want to take a big safety pin or strong clip. The primary bedroom window covering didn't block much light. There are decorative side panels that are very thick but don't pull across the window - they are just tied up/sway to each side. They are big enough to cover the window - just the rings on the rod don't allow that. So, we used a safety pin to hold them together about head high and that helped keep it dark in the bedroom.
