"We have just returned from 3 nights in Klagenfurt, staying at the Hotel Moser Verdino and I may sound a little over the top, but it was quite the nicest place I have ever been to.... The staff at the hotel were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them. They sorted out a game of golf so that it..."

I recommend this hotel for: A romantic getaway, Tourists, Young singles, An amazing honeymoon.
Stayed here for one night with my parents. Both rooms were clean, comfortable and functional. My single room had a small double bed. Bathrooms with bath as well as shower. Hotel in good central location, not noisy. Reception staff spoke good English and were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was extra (12 euros a head),. Buffet selection not bad, but as there is a limit to what many people want in the morning, if I stayed again I would have breakfast in the "public" part of the hotel cafe or in a neighbouring bakery and so save money. We had dinner at the restaurant in the Landhaus (an historic building nearby): good Carinthian and Austrian cooking, pleasant service and reasonable price for the quality.

The hotel is centrally located near the central town square, in the historic district. The art nouveau facade hides a modernised hotel. Probably the most friendly staff I have encountered at reception in Austria. Very helpful, but the small ventilator offered in lieu of a non existant air condition was no real help. My room was smallish, good (and new) bed, tv, CD-DVDplayer, wireless internet too expensive via outside provider, internet terminal at reception not private enough. Bath clean. Breakfast was standard for that kind of hotel, except the warm stuff (eggs, bacon) which was nearly cold. Breakfasat area doubles as caf? during the day and bar at night, very nice.

The hotel has been recently remodeled (Summer of 2007). Great location, quiet little street in downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet offered a great variety. No good: Wireless LAN expensive, external provider

This fully handicapped accessible hotel is located in the heart of Klagenfurt within walking distance of most attractions. The room itself was large with basic furnishings and no outstanding amenities. Our room was right above the pedestrian walkway so it was quite noisy in the evening and into the night with loud passers-by, but the addition of double pane windows would cut down on the noise problem. Breakfast was served in an area just off the lobby and it was a delicious buffet with numerous choices for any taste buds. The only real downside to this hotel is that parking is a nightmare. There are a few spots on the street, but if you aren’t lucky enough to get one of those spots, you’ll need to park in an underground ramp at the center of town which is found via a maze of one way streets. We toted our luggage to the car park to leave as my husband didn’t want to have to find his way back to the hotel through the labyrinth to pick me and the baggage up.
