In many ways a lovely hotel . The staff are friendly , the public areas are impressive and parking is included. However it simply does not deliver in two basic areas: natural light ( if you have a room on the ground floor) and an uninterrupted night's sleep. Let's look at these in turn. If Dracula is your thing you will love the dimly lit rooms in this hotel.Of course, this ( lack of natural light in ground floor roooms) reflects the architecture of the building as originally constructed but it is still depressing. Noise. This hotel is noisy. The ground floor rooms give onto streets which generate high levels of noise from both people and vehicles. This being Spain, the noise goes on until the eafly hours of the morning. This is not the hotel's fault but the guest suffers the consequences - ie a very poor night's sleep. A customer on a Vlad break might not mind Would I stay here again? For the price, no.

I stayed at this fantastic hotel last week with my husband and daughters. We were all in a terrible mood when we arrived at the hotel as the pouring rain and cold had totally spoiled the day. The front desk person was warm and welcoming. As we stayed mid-week, the hotel was not full so he very kindly upgraded us. When we entered our suites, we immediately cheared up. They are spacious, elegant rooms with marble bathroom. The commun areas of the hotel are filled with antic paintings and furniture. This hotel has the best modern comfort with a large touch of historical charm. Even the gardens are listed ! We decided to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant, the Reina Isabel. Well, the dream went on! It was by far the best meal we had in Spain in our 7-day-tour. The food was excellent at reasonnable prices. Breakfast was very satisfaying too with a large selection of good quality food. The only bad comment I can make is that the double glazing is not as good as it should be. I highly recommend this place (and the suite 21). It is a very convenient location to visit Jerez and attend the fantastic equestrian show.

I give this hotel a high rating and would definately revisit this hotel. The rooms and bed were very comfortable. The decor is exquisite and the restaurant cousine is delicious but a little pricey. The hotel is conveniently located about two minutes from the train station which will take you to Cadiz in about twenty five minutes for about 4.5Euro ($5.5US). Since I didn't drive it was my departure spot to go to Seville. The town is very nice with a lot very good places to grab a quick tapa or coffee and pastry.
