The room was very clean and tidy with above average furnishings expected for the price. Parking is free but only limited spaces for hotel guests in the front of it but parking is free at night in the street and very cheap in the day with very eager parking wardens (beware). The Hotel is extremely easy to find and well sign posted - just follow the signs for the centre and the signs for the hotel are clearly visible. I have it on good authority that they will also accept well behaved dogs - as friends had an unexpected stay there a month before.
Evening meal was exceptional with a lovely restaurant. The staff were little slack the next morning for breakfast with me having to ask for numerous things that were ordered as he kept forgetting.
Lovely hotel - would happily stay again and readily recommend

Would have liked to have given 5/5 for this lovely little hotel. It was clean and quiet and convenient and the staff were accommodating. Our only complaint is that service was a bit inconsistent. We had a fantastic dinner our first night but the chef must have had a night off for our second night because the food was quite mediocre. Some very nice waiters, some snooty. One sighed aloud when we asked to eat on the outdoor terrace because I have asthma and cannot tolerate smoke. That seemed a bit unreasonable to us. Very smoky indoor dining. Try the restaurant's desserts if you stay here - the chef does wonders with anything involving cream.

Some rooms are near the restaurants's kitchens and are very noisy. Check it before you book.

We stayed here for two nights with our two children. This hotel is very nice, with a nice staff and also a good restaurant. The rooms are very large and clean. We slept very well here! It is easy to park outside the hotel and the hotel is placed within walking distance to the city centre, the 'old town', and the old Sitadell. Even if the hotel is centrally situated, it is still a calm and nice neighborhood.

Travelling in Eastern Europe is a relative experience. But the Alegro exceeded my modest expectations. The staff sought to be helpful in every way, and the facilties were commodious and up to date, and met advertised standards. I say, if looking to stay in V.T., this is a good choice. The restaurant staff was more than helpful and the food met or exceeded our expectations.
