I recommend this hotel for: Tourists.
All i can say is that things have changed since many of these reviews have been written.
I stayed here for two nights in June 2008 and had agreat time. We stayed in a standard double room and it was lovely. The decoration was beautiful with handpainted scenes of Capri on the walls.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great.
Would definately stay again.

The Hotel was one of the best of our entire Italian vacation! It can only be described as pure Mediterreanian! The lobby is very picturesque...the location is right in the middle of the most distigushed shopping on the island. WE highly recoomend this for a truly Italian expirience.
