"I've been a very contented guest of the Sheraton Imperial many times since I began travelling to Kuala Lumpur in 1999. I have yet to be disappointed. I can't understand how the previous poster can say the rooms are small when the smallest ones at the Imperial are 42 square metres compared with the Shangri-La's..."

We stay in July 2008 for 4 nights in the Executive Suite Category. The room in the 35 Floor was very loudly, particularly by Disco Music daily from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. The service and the friendliness were expected only note 3, property for 6 stars hotel a better and friendlier service. Hotel is recommended only conditionally. Not for tourists with longer duration of stopover suitably.

I stopped by the Imperial Sheraton for a few days during my previous trip to Kuala Lumpur, I wanted to try another Starwood location in the city. As a Sheraton Hotel, you can expect all excellent facilities, the Hotel is beautiful, the rooms are well furnished and clean. It is located near by a strech of excellent and upscale Bars and restaurants, it is also very safe. The staff is very friendly but as in many Sheraton in this region, very slow and not really efficient. I checked in at 3pm and was told my room was not ready... I was very fine with it as I told them I will go for a late Lunch, I came back at 5pm and same excuse ! Finally a manager came in and within 15sec. he managed to find a room. I later found out that the Hotel was not full at all... Despite the reception, this Hotel is still worth a visit, it is not really in the heart of KL so expect to take a taxi for everything (and enjoy the traffic jam)...

Stayed several nights after travels in Malaysia, got terrific online deals with the hotel/Starwood. List/package rates otherwise in line with other properties. 1. Staff was extraordinarily helpful with many positive examples: reception offered to help investigate checkin at KL Sentral (do it, real time-saver) and other errands, and bellboy courteously declined tips saying it was his pleasure to help, Also considering large groups were in place, the hotel never felt crowded and staff made us feel very welcome at all times. 2. Rooms are very plush with really comfortable amenities and good views on either side. Unfortunately the Asian Heritage Row restaurants beside (with some decent quick bite or drink options) can get loud on weekends. 3. Food is silly expensive. Chinese restaurant at 4x a typical quality restaurant's rates (or 10x food-court options). Get out and eat. 4. Location is a bit of a drawback. Monorail is 200m away but all of KL requires negotiating steps incl transport stations. Still faster with the train to/back from Bukit Bintang than taking a taxi at peak times. And even though the hotel is on paper a short walk from sights, the reality is KL has not made the city accessible at all for pedestrians. With a pram, it took us 45 minutes to cover about 500m over potholes, across roads without functioning pedestrian lights and evading crazed bikers. But can't fault the hotel for that - just hop in a cab or be aware you can't walk anywhere easily. End of the way, one of the nicest plushest hotels (even compared with other Luxury Collection properties we've seen).

I stayed here two nights, very nice place. Room and furnishings are of a very high standard. Extremely comfortable bed and sheets. Try to get the corner rooms, which have a nice layout. Staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast buffet was really great. Seems they had a recent refurbishment all around. I liked the location, because it is one of the few hotels where you can walk to both the subway and the monorail. It's just two short monorail stops from the main shopping area. There was one shopping mall nearby, I think called SOGO. Adjacent to the hotel is a street called "Asian Historical" which had about 15 really nice restaurants and nightclubs that seemed to be busy well into the late evening. The pool and health club (no charge) were nice, they had live entertainment in the lobby area in the evening. They had a full Mandara Spa. I had some kind of a weekend special rate, which was a great value for the very high quality and service throughout. For those that stay on the club level floors, there is a beautiful lounge which had a very nice evening ambiance, and mini-buffet with drinks and wine, at no charge. It also had free internet. Overall, highly recommended in Kuala Lumpur.
