This has to be one of the nicest hotels in Saigon, this was our third trip here and although we noticed a slight falling off in standards it is still excellent value for money. The staff are very welcoming and go the extra mile to be helpful. We did notice that there has been an increase in tour parties using the hotel but other than the problems of overcrowding at breakfast time it didn't seem to intrude on the general peace of the hotel. The swimming pool is one of the best I have used in Asia and is a great place to unwind after work, be aware that the pool bar prices are VERY expensive by Asian standards but the measures are generous. If you use this hotel always ask for a room overlooking the pool as the exterior rooms face the street with its constant traffic noise.

I'm very impressed with Equatorial Hotel. It definitely gives you value for money. The lobby looks so inviting as well Although the swimming pool was small, however, it is very clean and not crowded. The room was definitely spacious and there are a lot of channels to choose from. Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating who go out of their way to make sure your stay is an enjoyable one.

Stayed at the Equatorial for 3 nights as part of an organised tour. I really liked this hotel: the rooms were modern, spacious, comfortable. The public areas ditto. The restaurant buffet dinner was great with plenty of choice...breakfast was excellent. Ok, so its not bang smack in the city centre..but taxis are cheap. For me the Equatorial was an oasis of calm in the crazy city of Saigon.
