We arrived at Fort William to stay at the Imperial Hotel. The hotel foyer,bar looked lovely. I had booked this for three of our friends, and myself and I was glad to see that I had booked a winner. We we very disappointed after we left the foyer area to our rooms. The house keepers were still cleaning our rooms, our friends rooms still had rubbish left in the bins from the previous guests, all our showers were very out of date and water trickled out of them. Our rubbish bin in our room was very rusty and had seen better days. The bathroom floor did not have any tiles around the sink area. We made the best of the rooms. Breakfast was ok , we had to ask the staff for so many things, no cups of the table, when the got them too us my coffee cup had all stains inside, this happened twice. Make sure you make it clear to the breakfast waiter what you request for breakfast you may not get what you have ordered. I maybe be very fussy, when I see so many staff around you just don't expect this sort of thing to happen.The location was super and staff were friendly and polite. I would reccommend staying there, but the main let down was the bathrooms.

After travelling for a considerable amount of time, I stopped at this hotel for some much needed food. To begin with service was appalling, with no contact initiated from waiting staff. The food was overpriced, cooked from frozen (ie not fresh) and portions were tiny. However, this was a blessing in disguise as the quality was very poor. I will never stop here again.

I stayed at this hotel with my Husband and it would remain a memorable stay. Had a wonderful time at the hotel. The Staff ( Specially Alok and Prashant) very friendly and very helpful, The room that we stayed in was clean and well equipmed with towels, shampoo, pillows and bedsheets ( spare ones) We had coffee and nice biscuts to welcome us the moment we entered and trust me it was refreshing after a days journey!! There was plenty to choose on the menu and the chef was very friendly too. Also Loved the Bar and the sitting arrangements therein. Overall excellent value for money

I did not expect much reading the other reviews. But we were pleasantly surprised ! We got room No. 25, which seemed to be on a floor that is recently renovated. It looked out onto the Loch, was spacious and clean. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. When we missed the remote control for the TV, the manager came immediately and brought a replacement one. The only complaint was the poor shower in the bathroom with virtually no pressure ! There was also some noises in the morning from the plumbing system. The location is excellent, as it is right around the corner from the main street but free parking is limited. Overall a good hotel if you are lucky to get a renovated room, not sure how the other rooms look like in comparison. Breakfast was adequate with full English breakfast included in the price.

We stayed in this Hotel in January 2008. The Hotel seemed okay and the room reasonable. However, after we had checked in, I noticed something on the bed, and on closer inspection discovered bed bugs. I immediately went down to reception and reported my find. No apologie, and very little to say on the matter. We were given another room.That evening I e-m ailed Best Western Head Office, within an hour the Manger apologised. We did receive a discount on our restaurant bill and the majority of the staff were very nice but the lady manager needs to sharpen her hospitality skills.
