Matonti has stayed here and says:
"Before we booked a hotel for our family weekend break we took time to read this site's reviews on the Glenspean and made a choice based on those reviews. We were not disappointed! This is a great 'value for money' hotel, surrounded by beautiful mountains. We loved it! The staff are friendly, efficient..."

Stayed 1 night here and had a wonderful time. Lodge is off on its own facing Ben Nevis. Lovely countryside and views (although windows very small in our room). Great room with all the facilities one needs. No elevator, so steps could be an issue for some. Host (Ian) was terrific; very helpful and friendly. Everything tidy and ship shape and lovely to behold throughout complex. Free internet, which is not common in the UK but really appreciated. Food (dinner and breakfast) was very good with wonderful views of the mountains. I would not hesitate to recommend this.

I stayed at the Gleanspean Lodge for a weekend (3 nights) while I was working in Scotland. I wanted a nice relaxing few days between the weeks of work so looked for a suitable hotel which was away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities but close enough so I could pop out and “do the lottery”. What can I say about this first class hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic from the moment I walked across the threshold. They instantly made me very welcome and personally showed me to my room and made sure I was very comfortable. Later in the bar, I enjoyed good company, excellent food and a sample of the extensive selection of single malts. The next morning I enjoyed a sleep in, in a very comfortable bed and warm room. When I eventually ventured out of the room I noticed that housekeeping had refrained from vacuuming the corridor outside my room so that I could rest undisturbed even though I had neglected to place the customary DND sign on the door. It was obvious from my stay that every effort was afforded to make things as comfortable as possible and I have to say that I found every element of my stay both relaxing and enjoyable. Just what I wanted !!! In review, the room was lovely, warm, comfortable and very clean with plenty of power points and refreshments. The food was first class and deserving of the AA Red Rosette. The bar was exceptionally well stocked but most of all the staff and owners were attentive and very friendly when you needed them and very scarce when you didn't !!! I will certainly stay at this hotel again in the summer for a romantic long weekend as it is a real gem and one that I would highly recommend to all !!! I stay in hotel accomodation for around 200 days a year, this one rates as my number 1 by some way !!!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful. Excellent personal service. Our room (No.11) had a lovely bathroom also. We had our meals at the hotel and they were excellent. Prices compared to those in Fort William and we had plenty! Cooked breakfast to order were good too. We would certainly recommend it to any of our friends or relatives and would certainly stay there again. The hotel is about 14 miles outside of Fort William but in a beautiful spot overlooking the hills. There was a nice homely feel to the place and we did not feel like just hotel guests
