Great Breakfast - old fashioned rooms

The hotel rooms are as old fashioned as can be - look like from the fifties without any makeover. Staff was not to kind at check-in. Breakfast was really great. There are much better (and cheaper) hotels in Stuttgart.

I stayed here for 3 nights for business, i got a deal with expedia for a junior suite although its worth maybe checking with the hotel as to what deals they have on, the reservations speak very good english as i had to call them before i arrived....In fact a lot of germans speak better english than a lot of brits! The junior suite had its own living area, some hugh wardrobes separate room for the bathroom and separate room for the bed....It was huge and in fact its bigger than some houses i've been in london...... The living room was well appointed with sofa's and a desk, a dining table as well........I could of if i wanted held a business meeting in there if i wanted. The decor was ok, nothing special but it wasnt tattty either.....The bedroom itself again has more storage space, its own LCD tv on the wall and overlooked a small square outside the hotel.....The bathroom had its own bath, shower that was separate that two could fit in, a bath, toilet, bidet and dual sinks...... The hotel itself is very well connected....Its NOT in the city centre, neither does it have to be......Stuttgart has a transport system that puts the UK and the USA to shame......Basically if you walk out of the hotel there is a tram stop outside, and further down there is Stadmitt station which is on the S-Bahn which takes you to the airport or the main station.........Otherwise its a nice pleasant down hill walk of about 15 mins to the main station through all the shops.......So in all seriousness, regardless of where you are in stuttgart, if its near an S-bahn or a U-bahn station, you dont need to worry.... Breakfast.......food is a social thing in germany as well, the breakfast buffet was amazing with choices for everyone, even some soups for the japanese visitor or some bavarian sausages for those that want to try something different... All in all a very pleasant stay, and i'd use the hotel again...

I stayed at this hotel with my partner last September to see the Ireland v Germany soccer match. The hotel was booked through the company arranging the trip. The hotel is a bit away from the main sights in Stuttgart, but only a few steps away from a tram stop which will bring you anywhere you need to go. We headed into the city centre on the only full day we were there and it was a sea of green - the Irish drinking in the sun and having a laugh (as we do!). The hotel is very comfortable with a good-sized ensuite room. The breakfast is something to behold. It is served in the large main dinging room and has every conceivable item you could want and some more besides. Hot and cold dishes, fish, eggs (several ways), cereals (about 12 different types) breads, cheeses (too many to count), all sorts of teas, fruit, cakes and pastries and probably more things I've forgotten to mention. Worth the stay for that spread alone! Altogether a pleasant comfortable hotel, with friendly, efficient staff.

Quaint Hotel just out of the heart of the city

This was a nice hotel located near a complex of cinemas, restaurants and a concert hall. It is a bit of a walk to the city itself, but trams/light rail is not too far. It's very convenient if you are attending a concert at the nearby Beethovensaal Liederhalle (about a minute's walk). The TV comes with the standard mix of channels (about 30 from memory) for free, but for EUR5 extra, about 400 (yes four hundred) satellite channels from around the world are available. Admittedly only 30-odd are in English (the list can be sorted by language/genre). Had a bit of minor flooding in the bathroom.
