"We have stayed at several Best Western hotels and have never been disappointed but this hotel was certainly one of the best so far. Lovely room, full of olde world charm! The food in the restaurant was wonderful, with 3 courses plus coffee for £25 as well as little extras thrown in! The staff all very..."

Stayed here for one night after seeing a good deal on the Best Western site. Check in was fast and friendly. We were directed to our room which was in the old building on the first floor. Staff helpful and provided an ice bucket and glasses for some bubbly we had brought ourselves. The room itself was a little old fashioned but still comfortable. A slight damp patch on the ceiling was hidden by some strategically placed boxes on top of the wardrobe but it didn't detract fro the room. The room itself was a corner room which overlooked the road towards Stratford but didn't get affected by road noise as the room was double glazed. The only complaint in that department would be the curtains not closing properly. The bathroom was clean however the sink did not drain very quickly. This was reported to reception the next morning so should be fixed by now. The restaurant was nice however the staff I think need to pay attention to guests arriving into the restaurant a little better. Upon entering the restaurant a waitress was milling around but did not greet us so we chose a table for 2 for ourselves. Another waitress appeared and asked our room number then said we had another table, so moved to it. The original table we had chosen sat empty all night. Food was lovely for dinner and breakfast. The restaurant itself has just been awarded an AA rosette too. I would highly recommend the hotel as an overnight stop or as a base for visiting The Cotswolds.

Very comfortable stay in lovely location, staff very friendly and helpful - restaurant excellent, food amazing and beautifully presented, rooms comfortable - had a ground floor room which was ideal as we had a dog with us who was made very welcome by the staff! Will be booking again.

There are several good points about this hotel. The public rooms, the attitude of the staff and the quality of the food were all above average. The bedroom and bathroom were "tired" and lacked any evidence of personal attention or interest on the part of the management. We were particularly irritated that, in our letter confirming our booking, there was specific mention of the fact that the restaurant was operated under a dress code of "smart/casual" but this was not enforced by the management. 90% of our fellow diners were attired in jeans with shirts hanging out - smart/casual? - I think not! If the management is not prepared to enforce a dress code, it should not be mentioned, in our view. A pity, because the location and many aspects of the hotel were excellent. With a little more care and attention, it could all be so much better.

Fantastic service, staff, food and location in Wroxton Stayed two nights dinner bed & breakfast at the charming Best Western Wroxton House Hotel. Cost ?344 for two guests and was worth every penny. Asked for a room with a feature in the old part of the hotel & got it - room 15 has huge stone open fire place complete with cast iron bread oven. Booked on line through Best Western website. Room was in one of the old cottages facing a main road but there were no issues with traffic noise as the road was not busy during the day and deserted after 6pm. Large bedroom with writing desk and lounge area around fireplace. Room ameneties included t.v,trouser press, hair dryer, iron & board & large kettle with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits & small bottle complimentary water. Bathroom good size recently refurbished white suite (chrome mixer shower over enamel bath)& large neutral wall tiles- all clean although wooden blind in bathroom needed a dust. Privacy glass would have been better as had to close blinds everytime went in bathroom as it was on the ground floor & overlooked. Car park large gravelled to the rear of the hotel - am fussy where we park but was happy to leave the car as ample room. The food & service in this hotel is unbeatable - the menu changed daily & is served impeccably. Fresh bread with thyme & roasted garlic served to dip in olive oil as well as apertizers before your starter was great. The sweets were awesome - they served tastier fruit scones with clotted cream & jam than those at the Ritz. All served on clean white plates on clean white linen at tables with lit candles - very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent & again waited on with great service - cereal, juices, fruits & cold meats from the self service buffet table & tea/coffee toast & hot full english options order taken at your table. Free range eggs used and even boiled eggs & soldiers were on the mornings menu. Do recommend a stroll round Wroxton village down to the duckpond where both the ducks & swans had chicks and also a walk in to the college grounds where there are follies, lilly ponds and formal gardens to walk around - free of charge. We were staying here as its fairly near for Silverstone & were up to watch the F1 testing but also took in Stratford on Avon & Bourton on the Water as they are close by - all worth a visit. Recommend this hotel for anyone on any occasion - would definately return - the only down side was the sound proofing in the old rooms - was awakened by those staying in the room above as the beamed ceiling was moaning & groaning & their footsteps could be heard - dont let that put you off Its a wonderful hotel in a superb location - deserves better than its 3 star rating - get yourself a sports jacket & open top car & book in!

Just returned from a weekend stay at the Wroxton house Hotel and will be returning again! Great location to visit the cotswolds,Stratford upon avon or just walk round Wroxton which is a lovely village.Try and visit Upton hall just down the road a great visit. Check in was Quick and easy and was happy with the room, the only small complaint would be the tv is on a small tv stand so when your laying in bed you cant see it ? Breakfast good but didnt try the evening meals. First night visited the pub along the road "White horse" DONT BOTHER steak over coooked, girlfriends food cold, took over 40 minutes for food to arrive and service dreadful!!. Second night got a ?5 taxi to Banbury and found some really nice pubs and restaurants.
