Nous avons séjourné 5 nuits à cet hôtel de taille moyenne situé à 5 minutes de marche de la gare de Mestre où un train part toutes les 10 minutes pour Venise. La rue est très calme et le quartier de même. Les chambres sont très propres et le petit déjeuner très bon: croissants frais, café cappucino à volonté, fruits, jambon etc. Le personnel, très affable, nous a proposé des restaurants différents pour chacun des soirs. On nous traçait des diagrammes. Les lieux proposés se sont avérés excellents. Le matin du départ on a même commencé le service du petit déjeuner une heure plus tôt pour nous accommoder. Excellent pour qui veut visiter Venise et ne pas se ruiner à payer des prix d'hôtel exorbitants . Quand on revient à Mestre après une journée à Venise on retrouve le calme et la sérénité à l'Ambasciata puis on peut aller prendre un bon repas dans un restaurant du voisinage. Nous avons été très contents.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel to go to Venice for the day on our tour of Italy. Hotel clean, good standard, if a little lacking in sound proofing from other guests. Staff helpful and speak good english. Breakfast good for continental breakfast style hotel food. Great location for the train station. The only down side is area outside the hotel when we went out for a meal in the evening. Never felt so intimidated before anywhere, ever in all the years and places I have visited before. So if you want a nice hotel and don't want an evening out on the town, go for it.

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits dans cet hôtel. Nous l'avons trouvé très agréable : accueil sympathique, chambres propres, décoration soignée, petit déjeuner très correct. Il est situé dans une rue calme à 3 mn à pied de la gare (où l'on trouve l'arrêt de bus pour Venise) et à 2 mn à pied d'une petite pizzeria que nous recommandons vivement car les prix sont très raisonnables, et surtout, l'accueil et la restauration sont excellents : AL LOCOMOTORE [------------------]

We booked for 7 of us for a works "do". We booked 2 twin rooms and 1 triple room. On arrival we were met by a friendly receptionist and I was impressed by the clean, fresh smelling surroundings of this new hotel. There is a lift to all floors and our twin room was reasonably spacious, but had a small bathroom. Our friends in the triple room had a large wet room suitable for less-abled persons. The third bed in the room was a z-bed, although apparently reasonably comfortable. The bed was comfortable, although you only get one pillow. Continental breakfast was included and was adequate enough to keep me going for the morning. As previous people said Mestre is not exciting, but the hotel is about a 6 minute walk from the railway station. The area immediately by the railway station is not great, but the hotel is located down a side street. Transport to Venice from Mestre costs 2 euro and Venice is the next stop (Santa Lucia). However, late at night coming back from Venice can be a little confusing, as there are a lot of trains at the station and not a lot of information. We travelled by RyanAir from Liverpool to Treviso Airtport, and there was a coach which took us straight to Mestre for 9 euros return. (You buy your ticket from the public transport kiosk in the airport). These coaches outside the airport terminal are there when the main flights come into Treviso airport, which is a good way out of Venice (about 45 minutes). Overall a good travel experience. I would recommend this hotel for the budget traveller and it was much better than expected.

It's Mestre and not Venice and as such not the most eye pleasing town ....The Hotel is a clean and unpretensious new building with gated private free car park( very useful if you get there by car) roughly 5 -8 minutes walk from mestre train station and is located in a very quite area overlooking ...well... not much ..really!! The twin room we stayed in was rather smallish and the bathroom even more...particularly the shower cubicle( no bath ) ..truly small to a point of claustrophobia...never than less as it's a budget hotel ..ish ( 120 euro a night b&b) you'll put up with it as you won't spend any time in the room anyway ..The breakfast ,again was acceptable for the standard of this place and not much more was really on offer..not even a map of Venice as you have to pay 1 Euro for it ( cheeky ). This hotel in my opinion does serve is purpouse very well if you are on a budget but is not somewhere i would return in hurry....spend a bit more a stay in venice if you can as it is clearly the better option. Mestre is truly depressing !
