Torri Pepoli is a hotel set within a stunning castle and located within the medieval hill-top town of Erice. The castle occupies a dominant position and offers breathtaking views of both the sea and the Egadi Islands. The hotel was totally restored in 2005 to a very high standard and provides 6 double rooms, a suite, restaurant, bar and beautifully maintained gardens. The hotel's restaurant has been excavated from the old stone walls to provide luxurious dining facilities specializing in local Sicilian cuisine and wines. There is also a communal lounge area, reading room and a bar. The hotel also has extensive grounds and gardens that are extremely well maintained. The castle, one of two in Erice, was first built by the Normans in the 11th Century, but includes numerous additions, including three imposing watch-towers that were built from 15th Century. The castle is still owned by the Pepoli family, who first came to prominence in Sicily under the Norman court of Federick I.
