La Tonnara is south of Amantea, just off the main road. It was just the right location to spend a night on our way from the Amalfi coast, via Paestum, to Sicily. The hotel is an excellent buy, at least in the off season. The rooms and the bathrooms are large and very modern; this was the first "rain forest" shower I had ever seen. We arrived late and decided to eat at the hotel, which turned out to have a very good restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had some trouble getting onto the free wifi, and the receptionist came to our room to help. This hotel is mainly a summer resort, but it was perfect as a stopover on our way down the coast.

ho trascorso l'ultima settimana di agosto nell'hotel la tonnara di amantea con un gruppo di amici: la struttura è davvero molto bella e nuova, curata nei dettagli e - soprattutto - estremamente pulita! la nostra camera affacciava sul mare e il mare era davvero l'unica cosa che si vedeva dal nostro balconcino perchè l'hotel è situato in una posizione strategica...a pochi km dal paese...tra mare e montagna...quindi in pratica appena fuori dall'hotel ci si trova su una bellissima spiaggetta molto ben tenuta (con palme, lettini, gazebo vari, musica e servizio bar...). ho riscontrato un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo perchè avendo scelto la pensione completa abbiamo anche mangiato tanto e bene!insomma ci siamo sentiti molto coccolati....dalla colazione alla cena! a proposito...amantea è proprio un bel posto...da visitare direi soprattutto il centro storico...molto carino anche il corso di sera, con tutti i negozietti aperti fino a tardi...!

Hotel pas terrible , pour soi disant un 4 etoiles ,demander 24 h à l'avance le choix de vos plats pour le déjeuner ou le diner c'est fantastique !!! De plus des pates à tous les repas , franchement ce n'est pas faire preuve d'imagination , c'est un peu comme si enFrance ,on vous servait du jambon et du saucisson tous les jours...Par contre les chambres et la gentilesse du personnel sonrt à mettre en évidence sinon fuyez les repas !!!

Four of us have just spent a very enjoyable five days at the Hotel Tonnara. The rooms were excellent and the bathrooms exceptional. We found the hotel staff very helpful and they supplied transport whenever needed. We very much enjoyed our meals in the restaurant and received excellent service. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to a return visit in the near future.
