The Tobacco factory is the only example in Salento of the recovery of industrial architecture.Refurbished from a former Tobacco Factory in the 1920’s and conserving all the charm characteristics of the age, like the star shaped vaulted ceiling.Every room has the name of a Salentina locality and a photograph illustrating the beauty of the area, by a resident artist Andrea Morgante. His photoghaphs are exhibited through out the hotel and are available to purchase on request.The furnishing, have been designed in every single detail by Francesco Spada. Furniture, lights, curtains bed linens, ecc., have been created by local craftsmen for the Tabacchificio.The rooms, having single to quadruple occupancy are found on the top floor overlooking the front area or towards the courtyard at the back. Lodgings are found on the ground floor.The restaurant “Le campate” is subdivided in two zones: a wide inner zone with the famous times to star Star shaped vaulted ceiling, and outside area close to the swimming pool, savouring the pleasurable Salentine evenings .. breeze.The chef proposes a marriage between traditional cuisine and a innovative wider journey of Mediterranean inspiration, using ingredients exclusively from the region.
