I stayed at the Continentale for one night at the end of March and overall was very pleased. Its a small boutique hotel very centrally located. Room and bathroom were clean, pleasant and modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but not extensive. Would definitely stay there again. Its is located on the corner of street with traffic and a pedestrian street so there was limited traffic noise though some from passersby. So net net I would say its a good choice in Trieste. I got a got a good rate at Skoosh...a uk travel site..

We just stayed in Hotel Continentale and we're satisfied. The price was right, the location excellent, the service is curteous and the breakfast very good. For the little I know of Trieste I think it's a great starting point.

the location of the hotel is really great you can walk everywhere with minutes. The train station is only 2 minutes walk and the airport is only 5/7 minute taxi ride(€14). we got a great deal when booking and the hotel was clean. We were only there to sleep so it suited us perfectly fine. Beds were comfortable. We had a late return flight and for €15 per room we were allowed check out at 18.30 this was great. Trieste is a nice town with plenty shops and its really easy to get to Venice the train service is very good and not expensive.

L’ubicazione di quest’hotel è davvero fantastica e da lì si può arrivare dappertutto a piedi in pochi minuti. La stazione ferroviaria si trova a soli due minuti di cammino e l’aeroporto è a 5-7 minuti di taxi (€14). Quando abbiamo prenotato ci hanno fatto un prezzo davvero speciale. L’hotel era pulitissimo. Siccome ci trovavamo lì solo per dormire, faceva veramente al caso nostro. I letti erano comodi. L'aereo per tornare a casa partiva tardi e per €15 a camera siamo potuti rimanere fino alle 18:30 il che era ideale. Trieste è una graziosa città con molti negozi. Venezia è facilmente raggiungibile dato che i treni sono eccellenti e per niente cari.

I stayed for one night at the Contintenale and found the whole experience to be more than impressive. Granted it was a Sunday night and it felt like I was the only person staying over, but for someone who doesn't speak Italian I was able to converse in English with everyone from Reception to the bar to room service. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the showers are funny - like self contained cubicles with a roof on top. The room was quiet and so was the outside street. I ordered room service and was really impressed at the food. The next day I had a more than ample breakfast and ordered coffee in the lobby area while I conducted a couple of meetings, all of the staff were friendly and efficient. I couldn't fault this place and would recommend it to anyone staying in Trieste.
