The Stadt Hotel Citta is ideally located on the central square in Bolzano. Arriving by car, we easily found the underground garage, which is connected to the hotel by a walkway. We had a "superior" double room for our family of three, which featured two large (double) beds. The spacious room overlooked the square, with the mountains beyond. The bathroom had a tub/shower and was quite spacious as well. This is an older property that has been renovated with modern furnishings while retaining a real sense of historic character. It was quite clean and well maintained. The daily breakfast buffet was excellent --- a vast assortment of pastries, cereals, fruit, meats and cheeses, etc. While cappuccino and brewed coffee were available on request, self-serve refills were limited to Nescafe -- surprising but surprisingly tolerable! Unlike breakfast, dinner at the hotel restaurant was disappointing. There are many excellent options in walking distance, such as the charming Vogele on Goethe Strasse -- one of the best meals of our trip. The location of the hotel is perfect. Enjoy espresso on the square, walk to the Portici shopping area, museums, and even the San Genesio cable car.

Uno dei nostri hotel e posti preferiti, in Italia. La città è incantevole e molto caratteristica, con una posizione stupenda tra le montagne. La nostra sistemazione comprendeva due camere da letto separate e un balcone. L'hotel è facilmente raggiungibile in auto e dispone di un parcheggio coperto. Si trova proprio sulla piazza principale di Bolzano. La camera era pulita, con un sacco di spazio per riporre bagagli e vestiti. Non c'era aria condizionata, ma l'hotel ci ha fornito dei ventilatori. C'era un computer a disposizione, con accesso a internet. Lo Stadt è stato uno degli hotel meno costosi in cui abbiamo soggiornato in Italia e ci ritorneremmo sicuramente.

This was one of our favorite hotels, and places, in Italy. Lovely town with lots of character in a beautiful location in the mountains. We had a room with 2 separate rooms and a balcony. Easily accessible by car with a parking garage. Right on the main square. The room was clean with lots of storage for luggage and clothes. No airconditioning, but they did provide fans. 1 computer with internet access was available for use. This was one of the cheapest hotels that we stayed at in Italy. We would definitely go back to this hotel.
