I was there for a weekend. The hotel is newly renovated and my room was spacious and clean. The hotel though is definitely not conceived for a single wanting to enjoy the beach on the weekend. Despite the 4 stars, it is an hotel that caters to families and treats families there for more than a week with all regards and other people as second class guests:
They promise an ocean view (and to see it you need to walk out on the balcony and look at the side)
They tell you from the beginning that there is only one newspaper (and the "regulars" get to pick whatever they want)
For breakfast they reserve tables with a view to the "regulars" and everybody else has to sit in the back.
Breakfast, furthermore is pretty lousy for everybody (no differences in this regard).
I would most definitely not return there
