The good news first. This hotel couldn't be better located. It's so easy to get to on all fronts. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also good. The rooms are rather blah and not particularly attractive but we did have a nice balcony which was great. We wouldn't have any complaints if it weren't for an incident on our last night. I was feeling rather sick and my husband and I went to bed early. At around 10:30 PM, one of the staff barged in and shouted something quickly in Italian and barged out. If I didn't speak Italian, we would have been totally lost! What happened was a water leak in the room below us as one of us had just gotten up to use the restroom. We were fast asleep when he came in and he basically knocked and came right in to our room without apologizing. So, as it turned out, they turned out our water without letting us know. I had to be hydrated since I was sick so had been drinking a lot of water. Every time I had to get up during the night, I had to wash my hands with my bottled drinking water which was rather a pain! I didn't find it right that they turned the water off without mentioning it. In the morning we still had no water and if we hadn't really spoken up for ourselves, they were going to do nothing for us. We had to beg to use another room so we could shower and have running water! That really wasn't right of them. They should have moved us to another room right away so we could be comfortable. Without that incident we would have been happy with the hotel. It was rather unfortunate and I don't feel that they handled themselves well.

This is a beautiful hotel in a fantastic position, the rooms are beautiful and the staff all very friendly and helpful. I can't recommend it highly enough and I woulsd defintely stay here again.

Terrific location in the heart of Amalfi. Our room had a fabulous view and the weather was perfect to be able to enjoy a drink on the balcony. Facilities were fine and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great and the coffee the best we had in Italy.Beach over the road was clear and warm. Would recommend to all our friends.

stayed here for 4 days in september. party of 10 for an irish wedding in italy. staff very friendly and helpful, good breakfast, clean room, what more do you want for less than €80 a night. right in the centre of town. buses and ferries just across the road. good restaurants and bars close by. spend your money when you are awake thats my motto. the red lad
