A small family run hotel, serving excellent food in the evening at very reasonable prices. We ended up eating there most nights and when we went somewhere else were invariably disappointed. The owners were incredibly friendly, we could not have been given a better welcome - and very flexible ~we had to leave early for the airport and they left out breakfast for us so that we could have something before we went. Rooms were basic but clean and the showers are good! Pool not in action in May as it was obviously not hot enough for them - although for anyone English it would have been nice to go for a swim! We would have hired a car with more acceleration but other than that an excellent stay!

Just returned from Tuscany and hotel Monti was a great surprise for us. Is a very cheap hotel but has a grat level of services and comfort. Rooms are clean and really pretty. Beds are comfortable. Food is really excellent and Monti restaurant is the best we found in tuscany! Breakfast is really copious with eggs,cheese, ham , home made cakes and much more. Really a great value for our money. We will came again next spring!

very good valu for money,very far out at top of mountain,you would definetely need a car,hotel was clean,beds not good at all,especially if you have a bad back,like me,but you do get what you pay for! breakfast was the normal for italy,i would recomend this hotel if you are on a budget,it is basic,and you would need transport,the alternative is to stay in monticatino a spa town,but pre book your hotel,before you go,or you will end up paying alot more by just turning up.

Lovely hotel in a little town at the top of a mountain in Tuscany! The hotel itself is just off the "main road" in the town and has its own little parking area, swimming pool and access to a children's playpark. I was there with my two daughters and they loved it. The pool was a real winner - unheated though, as most pools are in Italy. The only (minor) downsides were the lack of children's meals - no half portions offered - and the fact that we had a church bell that tolled every half hour near our bedroom window (was too tired to really care but thought I should point it out anyway). The people who work there are friendly. The hotel restaurant offers good food (for adults) but they were woefully understaffed the night that were there (one waitress for 20 plus tables!). Breakfast is basic - as it always is in Italy - but was very good nonetheless. There is also free internet access from 8am until 6pm - a PC set up in the breakfast room - if this is important to you. All in all, it was a lovely, clean hotel with friendly staff. What more do you need?
