In early July 2007, Grand Hyatt Melbourne will begin an AUD $40 million renovation. During the initial demolition and construction phase of the redevelopment, the hotel's Collins Street entrance will be closed. All shops and services at the Collins Street entrance will be closed during this time. All hotel guests and visitors will enter and depart at the Russell Street entrance and porte cochere. Building works will be undertaken Monday through until Saturday from 07.30am until 18.00pm daily. There will be significant construction noise during the renovation phase. During the second phase of the renovation, the Russell Street entrance will be re-built and hotel guests will arrive and leave from the Collins street entrance. The hotel's breakfast buffet will be re-located to one of the hotels function rooms. The Grand club lounge will be made available for all hotel guests whom wish to entertain clients or guests for lunch and dinner. From 8pm onwards, the Grand Club lounge will be open to all hotel guests and enjoy elegant cocktails and full bar service. Completion date: late 2008
