"I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Fukuoka in May 2007 during Golden Week (a week of public holidays in Japan). The rates were very reasonable compared to other Grand Hyatts in Japan and overall I would definitely recommend the hotel. Good points: the hotel is very conveniently located, being not more than..."

If you consider mold smelling corridors, stained wall pannels in the room, dirty marble in the lobby, poor sound quality of the band, 10 years outdated uniforms than this hotel should be rated 1 star. to top is off, BF which was included was charged, movies which were previewed only were charged as well, and the attitude of the front desk staff was of such arrogance, that they think they are doing you a favor by fixing what they broke first. this hotel does not feel like international 5 star, but locally managed 1. I guess there is little competition so they get away with is, but at my next trip to FUK I will chose any local hotel of the grand hyatt

I am sitting in my hotel room now. The room is spacious and nicely appointed, but with problems. For more than $300 USD each per night I paid for three Grand Twins, this is probably my least favorite Hyatt. (1) On our day of arrival, the room was incredibly hot and stayed hot the entire first night (this is July though). (2) There are no table lamps in the room. All lights are overhead or on the wall. (3) The bathroom wall beside the bed is constructed of frosted paper and glass. When you turn the bathroom light on at night, it lights up the entire room, disturbing sleepers. (4) I can hear the people in the next room. (5) From the 11th floor facing the canals, I can clearly hear every loud motorcycle that passes. (6) Shower water pressure is sufficient, but not like Japanese hotels.
