I recommend this hotel for: Gay/lesbian travelers.
We had just completed the Camino de Santiago and needed a room for two days to relaxed. In the Santiago Tourist office they were able to get us a room at this wonderful hotel. Having been staying in refuges the last few weeks, this luxury was wonderful for us. They have a part of the hotel that is slightly older, but the rooms are very nice and I would say it is very comfortable. The medival atmosphere in the lobby and bar give a very nice sense that you are in a city with much history. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and were extremely happy with the choices, though the meal is not included in the room rate. We wanted to rebook for the last day we returned to Santiago we liked it so much. though it is not in the center of the old part of town it is within a 2 minute walk. I would strongly recommmend this hotel.

We really appreciated the small unique feeling this hotel provided. We stayed in the new wing just about 50 feet from the main hotel area. Room was nice for two folks, we squeezed in our two kids as well and it was a bit tight. We ate breakfast every morning in the breakfast area overlooking a little park like setting. Breakfast was very good enough that there was no need to look elsewhere, service was great. Nice upscale small bar area with a few private tables. Located right on the lower edge of the historic district, within walking distance of everything you might want to visit. We never bothered eating at the hotel we tried to eat where the locals appeared to eating. We had no problem finding good food within a few blocks. We used the free internet frequently and it worked well. We stayed here twice within three weeks and we would head back today if we could. Thus why my review is a few months late I was checking on the rates hoping to visit again. No need for a car.
