Locanda di Palazzo Cicala, the first hotel de charme in Genoa, stands in the heart of the historical city centre, facing the fifteenth century San Lorenzo Cathedral. It is a few minutes walk from the Aquarium, the Old Port, Palazzo Ducale and all the main attractions in Genoa. The interiors harmonically match the elegant minimalism of Ron Arad, Vico Magistretti and Achille Castiglioni with the sumptuousness of XVII century architecture in a recently restored Italian Palazzo. The hotel is situated in the historic and newly renovated Palazzo Cicala. There are the remains of a medieval loggia on the facade overlooking Piazza Duomo, while the building front features magnificent stucco decorations. The hotel building has recently undergone a complete restoration in the original style. The bedrooms all have high vaulted ceilings and are marvelously quiet and range in size from 30 to 45sqm. Richly adorned with stucco decorations, they offer the charm of the past while also providing every modern comfort including comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, private bathroom with hairdryer and bath or shower, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, mini bar, satellite television and desk with computer and free internet broadband, WiFi access.
