Our family stayed here 1 night on the way to the Outer Banks. It was a nice hotel with a heated pool that my kids enjoyed. We also spent a couple hours at a nearby water park (Splash Down). The following morning, our light had burnt out in the bathroom. The room was pitch dark when the door was closed so we had to wait for a replacement before attempting to shower. Within an hour of reporting the problem, the light was replaced. It was not just a lightbulb, but the whole fixture that had broken. We really appreciate the urgency the staff had in resolving the matter so we could get on with our vacation.

Stayed here for 6 nights while visiting Washington DC. Fairfield is our preferred hotel and this was not up to the new standards set by other Fairfields recently. Hotel was clean and staff was accommodating but new renovations were not up to the quality of other Fairfields. For example, the sheets were so thin that it was possible to watch TV through them. Not the same high-quality bedding we have experienced elsewhere. Cookies were only available two of the 6 nights. The breakfast was fine. The business center internet connection was so slow that I timed 5 minutes to bring up one page. I finally gave up trying to check my email. This hotel was okay, but I wouldn't rate it as highly as other Fairfields where we have stayed.

My daughter and I stayed one night at the Fairfiled Inn on our way to Myrtle Beach. We were welcomed by not one but two desk clerks who checked us in and offered fresh cookies. They joked about my "winter apparel" as I had left western NY in the morning and it was COLD. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Without a doubt, one of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed in.
Check out was a breeze and we were thanked for our patronage.
I'll stay here again....Cracker Barrel right across the street too.

Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Pool, hot tub, and small exercise room. Breakfast and managers snacks on Wednight night. Although set back a bit from the road you can still hear the cars if you are situated in the front rooms. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Great Hotel!

We were traveling through the area en route to Myrtle Beach and decided to stop off and spend the night in the D.C. Area. We stumbled upon the Fairfield and had a great stay. The beds were EXTREMELY comfortable with the newer mattresses and pillows and the rooms were quite spacious. The pool was also very nice and we spent quite a while in the hot tub. Breakfast was above average and there is a Managers Reception Wednesday evenings, which was a nice suprise, with chicken wings and sandwich materials. As with the previous reviewers, we also were disappointed with the lack of knowledge by the desk staff about getting into Washington D.C. However, with the use of a map they provided we were able to figure it out. If you are going into the city during the day you might want to consider using the Metro rail line, which a few exits up the highway towards D.C., it might be easier then trying to travel in the heavy traffic. Overall, a great hotel in a great location!
