myself ,my wife and two sons stayed here for 2 weeks in july,it is a fantastic place to stay ,,the staff were fantastic and friendly ,the rooms are cleaned every day ,nothing is a bother ,we upgraded our room to an elite suit at a quater of the price that the travel agent wanted,it is one block behind i-drive and is in easy reach to the parks ,they supply a bus to universal and disney is only a taxi ride away, the pool is a lot bigger than the photos show and the breakfasts are nice and light and plentyful,,if it could be improved ,i would have preferred a bar but that was easily sorted ,just come out the main entrance and look to your right ,you will notice a place called the "dowdy pavillion" in the bowling alley it is very cheap ,food and drinks for the kids and very friendly ,,across the small stone fyord and your a Oshucks bar ,nice food friendly atmosphere and child friendly,, your also close to tgi fridays and the pirates adventure..i really miss this place and will deffo be back ,orlando can be very hot and humid in july ,but ,hey ,you dont go for the rain,,as i said before "EXCELLENT"

Just got back from staying here for 2 weeks, with my husband and 2 girls, aged 11 and 16. The hotel is immaculate! I booked this hotel after reading the reviews and was not disappointed. I had a mild issue on arrival, but the staff were so obliging, it was sorted out straight away. The staff were all very friendly and helful, especially Laura on front desk. My only disappointment, was there was no pool side snack bar. I felt this made it feel abit anti~social, But hey, we were so busy during the day that we only spent a couple of days by the pool. If you like your food, you must try chill's just up the road. Execellent food, as is TGI. Avoid wild jacks, food not so good there. I had bad meat there and when i told them, they were not bothered, so i'd give that one a miss. Also the pirates show, if you don't like hospital food, DON'T do this!! Show itself ok, although i left halfway through as service was not up to my liking and the waitress was rude!! But overall, if you are not bothered about socialising with other guests in the hotel, a first class!! Would definatley go back.

My buddy and I stayed in Orlando for 3 nights while visiting Universal Orlando. The room was clean, beds were EXTREMELY comfortable, and breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Attempted the free shuttle the first day, supposed to arrive at 8:20 AM. The shuttle arrived at 8:45AM, then after 4 hotel stops we got to Universal at almost 10:00AM. The longest part is that the driver has to go into each lobby and check in... I wouldnt call it "free" if you have to pay 75 minutes to get to Universal, which is about 3 blocks away. The return trip was just as bad- could have walked back in a quicker amount of time. Needless to say, we drove the next day, and got there in 5 minutes.
Pool area is GREAT- plenty of towels. I would defiantely reccomend this hotel to anyone traveling to Orlando.

After reading it’s ranking and all the reviews; I had to find out why, this hotel is the number 1 ranked hotel in Orlando. I was very intrigued how this hotel out ranked all these mega resorts with all the bells and whistles. So first opportunity being from Miami I took it. I went on line, straight to the Marriott web sight and booked a suite for $99. I booked this room for 3 nights. At first I thought this is not a big entrance. Than I thought to my self this is not a big hotel. Once I got in the room, I was like this is not the biggest suite I’ve been in. I kept thinking to my self why is this number one.
Than little by little it all sank in. First the location, it is perfect right off international drive, same street as the big McDonalds. You could get to any park easily and quickly, as well as all the attractions on international. Than the hotel, small but clean well maintained, with great service. Finally the room, clean moderately spacious separated seating area with its own TV and fridge and microwave, as well as a small desk or eating table.
So while this is not the most luxurious hotel, the biggest hotel, the resort on a park hotel; it is vary much the most convenient. This hotel separates it’s self from the rest, by doing very simple but very effective things. One great service, on Friday I went out to eat at Le Coq Au Vin, another well deserved number 1. While passing the lobby I asked for directions and they went online and printed me out directions. They made that little extra effort that made a difference to me. Two they maintain the property clean and friendly. Finally the rooms clean with the right amenities. This is a hotel that has it right. You don’t have to be a multi million dollar resort with mega pools and 1000 floors to be the most desired property. All you have to do is give your best with service maintained and give the most at the most competitive pricing. All though it hotel has no extra, it is an excellent value there for thats my rating.
PS good food Spots
Pizza: Real New York Pizza on OBT
Dinner: Le Coq Au Vin
Brunch: Dexter’s of Thorton Park.
