Not great, but ok. Rooms adequate but barely. Food very dull and overpriced. Proximity to airport building is the selling point, but better cheaper rooms available in town if you get a cab.

I'm not giving this a 5* rating cos I think it is a 5* hotel - I'm giving it because for the value for money I think it's excellent. A few weeks prior my visit I stayed at the Ibis and it was vile. (see my other review) This hotel was great, I think it's a good sign when you see the pilots and cabin crew staying somewhere. I didn't stay here for airport purposes so can't really comment on the facilities from that aspect, but the location close to the M1 and the centre but far enough away from it. The room was extremely comfortable (quite small though). TV/entertainment system in room. Nice bathroom. The bar/restaurant really nicely done out with comfy chairs and sofas, with good view of the runway! Drinks expensive but serve doubles as standard. Food menu has been different the 2 times I've been in the last few months, one cheap and nice, the other ok but expensive (that was in the school holidays so don't know if they change the menu for peak times or if thats just coincidence). No plane noise experienced. Limited parking but no problems getting a space. Excellent location for plane spotters!! Not enough staff on reception so check out very slow. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Completely worn-out I arrived around midnight for a good nights' sleep before I would fly out. Upon entering the room I was pleasantly surpised by the bathroom - a little blacklight made it look lovely. The bed was very comfy and the shower, too. It was a short night, but a good one. Another great thing is the complimentary breakfast. Staff was friendly.

Three of us stayed one night before an afternoon flight from Luton. It was really clean and comfortable. I would love one of their bathrooms at home. The only negative was that the room was not warm and it took ages for the air conditioning temperature to rise. The beds were made up for us, maybe considering the really cold weather (snowy) they could have also turned on the heat before we arrived. Apart from that, the beds were really comfortable, and there was no noise at all from aircraft. This hotel is the closest to the airport, it is in walking distance, although there are over 30 steps up to the entrance. If you do not have heavy luggage you can walk to and from the airport. For the other hotels, I would recommend a taxi.

Stayed night of 16th Feb. Room comfortable and sound-proofed against airport noise. However, be warned that shower trays are plastic so, if your neighbour (particularly above!) is catching an earlier flight, then you will probably be woken up! Food reasonably priced, hot and served quickly, by friendly staff. Reception staff efficient. Close enough to mid-term car park to walk across. Otherwise you will have to pay a parking fee for hotel car park. Can't comment on cost, since stay paid for with HI Priority Club points. Will certainly stay again if flying early from Luton.
