"We stayed here for two nights on our recent trip to Yellowstone. We stayed in the new section just 1 door down from the pool. Our room was huge compared to all the other rooms we had stayed in on our trip. We were in 7 different hotel rooms this past 1-1/2 weeks! The only problem I had was the price..."

We booked this hotel because it was essentially the only place we could find with any availability. The price ended up being a little higher than the other places we stayed near Yellowstone, but still reasonable. The front desk staff were efficient, and answered our questions, but they looked like they really wished they were doing something else. Would it hurt them to crack a smile? Our room was, I believe, in the newer part of the hotel, and was adequate, albeit a bit smaller than some. It was clean, and everything worked, with the exception of the ice machine on our floor, so we had to go either up or down for ice. The pool was noisy and full of kids, and closed at 10 p.m. We wanted to go in, but it was too crowded, and closed too early. It would have been nice if they had an adult swim after, say, 9 or 10, for an hour or so. Breakfast consisted of a voucher for their restaurant, and did not include drinks, taxes, or tip, so the "free" breakfast ended up costing five bucks or so. And, as someone else noted, it was for one item on the menu, so fine if you wanted bacon (or sausage) and eggs, but you had to pay full price if you wanted pancakes. All in all, not a bad experience, but not a great one, either.

My wife and I reserved our room 7 months prior. Upon arrival the hotel receptionist was rude. Our room was directly over the swimming pool and the floor and beds vibrated all night. I asked to be moved the receptionist was once again extremely rude. She would not help. Finally after no sleep around 2am I ask them again to please move us to another room because we could not sleep with all the motor noise and floor and bed vibration. They final decided to move us the next morning. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed here for 3 nights in June 2008. Decided on a King Suite and to pay more so would have more room and a jacuzzi - did get those 2 things but didn't realize what the downfalls would be. Good Things: Size of room was large, fridge and micro was nice to have, If kids like slides on pools, will enjoy the slide. It is very close to the West Entrance of Yellowstone - but just about everything is this little town is. Things that could have been better: Our Suite was right above the pool area (room 313) would not recommend this room, it is noisey from the kids screaming and the slide from the time the pool opens until it closes. Room is outdated. Days Inn may have their guarentee that they will fix anything, but this doesn't mean much. Never received additional requested items (blanket, trash can - was offered a bucket - it never came either). Towels are very small. For the additional items we did receive it took over 4 hours to get them. Told front desk about the noise and the items not received, they didn't do anything additional to reduce the cost of the room either (remember we paid more for this room). Staff could have been more friendly. We were given free breakfast certificates upon check in - 2 for each day we were there (even though had 4 people), these were good for the restraunt at the hotel and for only one choice on their menu. We ended up not eating here for breakfast.

Avoid prebooking this Hotel. I just had to cancel my reservation -almost a month in advance because of a deathin advance -I was informed there was a no cancellation policy and a no refund policy even in case of a death in family. This policy is in terms and conditions but in what I call fine print" so I must bear some of the blame. However the manager Gail told me it was Days Inn policy and to call Days Inn guest Services. Days inn Guest Services told me that the policy is the Inns as they are individually owned. Because of the death I had to cancel other Days Inn reservations and had no problem with a refund I have to believe that it is the individual Inns responsibility. The staff at the Inn was very unresponsive -Run away from this place when planning a trip. Do not prereserve as there is no way in in no case will they refund your money.
